Even if we dont make it against the Brewers, the fact that we made it to the postseason is insane. What an amazing season the Mets have had. So much fun watching them win this year
Nah Brewers manager said these games had to be played. I think a rap duo from Queens once said Scared to death and scared to look, they shook….. Brewers Manager knows his team got their spot because of how bad that division is.
@@Azexlify we stick to one team, my girlfriend is a Mets fan, as well as soon of my siblings. I’m a Yankees fan, I had to learn how to deal with Mets fans
You're right bro! New York, New York is taking the MLB! Yanks with the best record in baseball! Met's hottest team since May. Doesn't get much better than this!!
@@Azexlify You basically have three kinds of fans when it comes to the other teams in the city. 1. Roots for them but not over their team. 2. Couldn't care less about the other team they're just kind of there (and maybe laugh at them a little bit when applicable). 3. Doesn't like the team at all and roots for them to lose. Personally I've seen much more of fans 2 and 3 than 1.
I’m 41 years old,and this my favorite Mets team, because in 86 I was 4 years old and my father is the one the the real good memories. This team is special,is something about this team that feels different. I think is destiny,I hope we get this title.
I'm 62 years old and was born the same year that the New York Mets came into being in 1962 and can remember falling in love with baseball because of the crack of bat sound and because my Mom was always at Mets games because her and her friends knew Ed Charles and Tommy Agee and used to go to the Outfielders Lounge , which was Tommy Agee Bar and restaurant , shall never forget when Gil Hodges took over , and the changes and new chemistry around the team and the great 68 and 69 seasons of the Amazing Mets and the Ya gotta Believe of the 1973 season which mi feel they got robbed by the Umpires in that series against the Oakland Athletics , was a big Willie Mays fan and wanted so bad for him to retire as a New York Mets player after his great years as a Giant in New York at the Polo Grounds ,, that was a difficult off-season , was also looking forward to the next season due to the Home Run Chase by Hank Aaron ,, was always a big Tom Seaver fan and was disappointed when he was traded to the Reds ,, some rough times throughout the 1975-1983 when Strawberry and Gooden and Hernandez and Mookie , Carter , Knight and the Magical 1986 season ,, Subway Series against the Yankees was good for the City , unfortunately the Mets were no match for the Yankees in that Era , 2015 was heartbroken by the Royals and the foolishness of stacking power pitchers of the last ten years ,, always remember what Tom Seaver said about those pitchers and their misguided philosophy ,, was glad to see Buck Showalter as manager and was concerned when he was fired ,, however Carlos Mendoza is the future and a great manager and good person and has great impact on the players and good people skills and makes senseable decisions and has good communication with his coaching staff ,, this 2024 season is very special each and every day ,, from 0-5 to OMG and it's not finished yet ! Let's keep it going Mets 💯🛐💚🔯💛☪️❤️🕉️💪💪💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Aloha from Hawaii 🌈🤙🙏🌞
The fact that they clinched a spot in Atlanta, a place where they never seem to win in the past, made this so special. Wow this team and Lindor is the freaking man LGM!!!!
I'm happy af that Mark Vientos was given the chance to prove himself time and time again this season, with several uneasy points where he'd been sent back down since he was initially only supposed to be filling space for IL guys. He was professional with his acceptance of the situations, and it paid off in a big way. Dude has broken OUT this post season. LFGM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so nervous watching today because it would be such a shame if the Mets didn’t make the playoffs after such a great season. I won’t be as nervous now. If they bow out early, it still has been a great season. I didn’t think they would win 75 games this season.
Man, what a story! We went from one of the worst teams in every statistics in the League to a playoff team!! If you don't believe in God or Luck or any higher power, this might change your mind! HUGE Protagonist energy with this team!!
I feel so good for Diaz. He’s closing in NY. The pressure and expectations are high due to the legacy of a totally unrelated legendary tale some 20 minute drive away via Grand Central Parkway & I-87 😂😂😂😂
Some delusional Mets and Lindor fans actually thought they could close this gap with a few ground ball catches. Well, sit back and enjoy watching Ohtani claim his third unanimous MVP.😂😂😂 *Ohtani / Lindor* WAR 9.2 / 6.7 G 159 / 151 PA 731 / 684 H 197 / 167 HR 54 / 32 RBI 130 / 88 SB 59 / 29 BA .310 / .272 OBP .390 / .344 SLG .646 / .496 OPS 1.036 / .839 OPS+ 190 / 137
Will not be unanimous. Will shohei win ? Of course. But lindor will get a nice amount of votes. Remember this isn't necessarily about who has better numbers its who brings more VALUE to the TEAM. Lindor has a very strong argument to make on that
Mets playoff appearance is a fluke Lol Braves too. Braves are falling off which is why they are more mediocre now lol both teams will only last the first round of the playoffs because they couldn’t get inb the playoffs during the regular season.
