That is absolutely stunning and unique, great find. Plus a William IV shilling, wow you have some epic permissions with all this silver you keep finding. Congrats on 40 years too 🎉

Thanks Gareth, we do seem to be fortunate enough to find some lovely items, and we have been finding more silver together that before I was disabled, but the yellow stuff is still proving to be elusive, I have told Wendy that it will come when we are least expecting it. As for the permissions being good, they have turned out to be, but we do stick at them and it seems to be paying off. I am fairly sure that most of the permissions have been done before at some time, but for whatever reason and luckily for us, some good finds have been missed. We are not quite at 40 years until 11th August, and fingers crossed we will make it and many more. All the best Wendy and Jon

Old relics like that are never found in Louisiana. Great finds. Keep it going !

You may not be finding old relics but at least you are allowed to detect on parks and tot lots etc, we aren't allowed to do any of that. There is only one council I know of that sell permits to go on some of their parks. You have found some lovely items on them! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Happy hunting from Jon and Wendy 🙂

@@disabledadventures4115 You guys need to confront your city counsel. As tax payers these areas should not be off limits to you. I would protest it.

Nice to see some of our good old Aussie Silver pre-decimals turning up overseas! Nice find, and a new sub.

Hi, we were so pleased when we realised what it was. In all Jon's years of detecting he has never found an Aussie coin, he was so pleased. And what lovely coins they are too. Thanks for the comment and sub, we really appreciate it. All the best Jon and Wendy 🙂

Hi, Yes, the Australian coin brooch is amazing, we were both blown away by it. Tbh, we hadn't had the best day, with regards to finds, and when that turned up I just saw the silver edge and was convinced it was another ring pull 😂. Then I realised it was 3 coins I was chuffed to bits. When Jon looked and realised it was Australian coins he was over the moon, never in all his years of detecting, man, boy and disabled lol, has he ever found an Aussie coin, let alone 3!! Thank you. ATB Jon and Wendy 🙂

Nice interesting find, you would think with those dates, just pre ww1 it may have belonged to an Australian soldier on respite or recovery in the uk.

Hi, yes, the dates fit so it could be - maybe he even made it and gave to his sweetheart over here. I always think about how upset they would have been to have lost something like this. Thank you for commenting - all the best Jon and Wendy 🙂
