Joey Jordison was not fired he had acute transverse myelitis which led him to lose the use of his left leg but due to medical help and a lot of intense work in the gym he was able to fully recover
Slipknot puts on an amazing show and well worth seeing in concert, I have seen them 12 times and they never disappoint. And I will be seeing them again in August at the Iowa State Fair
They were great when I saw them live in 2008, however Machine Head supported them that night and mopped the floor with Slipknot. They went full beast mode that night and tore 20 000 new assholes
I was in that crowd, Download Festival is only a 45 minute drive from where I live. This shit was intense, seen Slipknot 4 times and this was easily the best live show they did that I saw.
indoors they even sound better but outside festivals were just as crazy. Even remember doing the everyone get down and jump the fuck up at small venue in pit in like 2000 i think. So apparently they been doing that awhile....awesome times
This is regarded as one of the most iconic live shows in metal history. A perfect summation of a band and its career, especially in the UK. It's the metal equivalent of Radiohead's '97 Glastonbury set; where everything was pitch perfect and created a legend.
You're beautiful, charismatic and real! Do more metal and your channel will explode. Metalheads will come, they will participate, and they will be loyal. Keep it up!!!! Great reaction! You've helped this old ass metalhead remember why I love the genre.
If you like slipknot but really want to see a twist.. Check out Stone sour's Miracle the acoustic version.. Stone sour is Slipknots lead singers other band..

Hey I was at this Festival. I was mainly there for Day three though, ZZ Top into Whitesnake into Def Leppard, great show. Slipknot and Pendulum where the highlights of Day two
You ought to find a video of the Dr. Feelgood concert from Motley Crue. Tommy Lee's drum solo and how they lifted him up was awesome. I watched it live back in the day. Great concert!
They did this again this year, I was lucky enough to see it and be relatively close, I had the biggest grin on my face for the next three days 🥰 and then lost it coz I’m gonna have to wait another year to see anything anywhere near comparable 😢
@@rebelyelleasyrider Damn now i'm even more jealous :) I have seen them in '99 and again in 2001 or 2002 i think. And never again since then. I would give anything to have been there on Download 2009 (even with this stupid name of the festival^^)! This performance is epic! I mean, Slipknot always kicks our maggot's asses but this one... jealous! ;)
First slipknot concert I went to was Ozfest in west palm beach fl when they were on the second stage ... when they came out I was like great another gimmick metal band , when they were done I was hooked ...20 years later maggot for life
I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been to over a hundred heavy metal concerts. You don't understand oh, the last song? People have been tailgating with alcohol for 12 hours before the show. For a band to fire a Crowd up at their last song is badass
He keeps doing that with his tongue/mouth because his mask is very uncomfortable. It’s probably hurting his jaw/mouth so he’s stretching it out to try to shift the strap under the mask around a little bit. They always design their masks for a specific purpose/feeling, and most of them are extremely uncomfortable, which kinda adds to the intensity on stage.
i think he's doing that thing with his tongue because there's a constant stream of sweat running down from under his mask over his mouth.... i could be wrong though
@@OhMyGoshIndia Donated and left the song requests in my note, too. But here they are with the RU-vid links. Thanks. Not sure if you have heard either before, being that you are young. :-) 1.
