A lot of these brands are made in the same factories, I work in Morrisons. We have things that come in from other supermarkets - Tesco, Asda, M&S, Icelands, Waitrose,Sainsbury’s. They can’t be sold or sent back, so they go up in our canteen and we buy it cheaply. My best buy was Icelands cheese. I got 6 packs, took them home, grated and zip locked bag and froze them.

In our local Aldis, they have the cereals in the last aisle and the chocolate and biscuits in the second aisle. I love Aldi.

Interesting, but hard to see such inexpensive groceries compared with the exorbitant prices we're currently paying here in NZ 😢

I was surprised to hear they only collect your food waste bin once a fortnight and recycle bins once every 3 weeks. Living in Australia our general waste is collected every week, recycling one a fortnight and green waste once a fortnight. While we only have 1 bag of general waste a week the bin would get quite wiffy if collected fortnightly. We also compost our vegetable scraps and egg shells. Like you we shop at several supermarkets including Aldi but also use our local fruit shop as they have good quality fruit and we buy whats in season. Making the food budget stretch as far as possible requies alot of research and careful planning. We buy a large box of paracetamol from a discount chemist. Much cheaper than a supermarket. Enjoyed the vlog.

A good shopping haul the cheap cereal is about the same as the branded cereal some of them are made in the same factory, my husband worked in a factory what does the cheap version and branded. Some prices are over the top still. Take care all from Norfolk

I read somewhere that many store brands are made from the same factories as the name brands, so they are basically the same

I do my big main shop in aldi then get a few things i can't get in Aldi in asda, am definitely saving money doing that 🙂

You can buy 3 packs of paracetamol in poundland. You can buy 100 over the counter in a chemist but they can be dearer. Xx

Food prices are better than Australia. You would expect for instance lamb would be cheap but no it is very expensive. Can buy relatively cheaply if you stick to specials. Nice haul Zoe.

Yeah cost of living especially bills food and utilities, eg gas water electricity, petrol, licence renewal, insurance car etc

love theses hauls, recently went back to aldi for shopping too and some of the dupes are amazing. Just a idea but how about a blind taste test, so you buy the likes of the branded and unbranded products put them in a bowl and see if the kids can tell the difference when they don't know what one each is. for example i see heinz beans in the back ground?

The squash is lovely and also the pasta sauce ..cheese ...yogurts...ham etc great ...fruits are great as you say you eat them quick but don't last sometimes...cereals I agree 😊

Always look for water melon with yellow spot , only thing about aldi is packs not big enough like pasta, also tin foil with no wrapper is brilliant, plus zip bags , your super star is helping she a gem x Zoe the hash browns like a MacDonalds wrap are fantastic, up Zoe Isobelle good job 👍👊x 😘

I always shop in aldi much much cheaper and their stuff is generally better than the other shops own brands. The meat is very good I find. Veggies can be hit and miss to how long they last. I find morrisons cost me about an extra £30 compared to aldi. Which is a huge amount. Love the voice over and comparing the prices much better than Your old way I am sure it will make more work for you though. At least this way nobody has to set it all out ont the work tops. Which is a big job in its self 😊 thanks for sharing. How much do you think you spend roughly per week?

Loved the food haul really it is a lot cheaper i shop mostly Aldi when my boys were teenagers etc i used to buy cereal at Aldi etc and empty the aldi cereal in the branded boxes never did they know any different 😂 ❤❤

Zoe. The extra costs is a lot to do with places that sell alcohol are being hammered with huge rate bills so of course it us the customer that has to pay. It’s not great but you’re right it’s every where. Have you tried the lake land green saver bags to store fruit and veg. They have been a game changer for us and you can wash and reuse them a lot of times. Ok you will go through fruit and veg more than we do. Everything apart from things like mushrooms keep for weeks. Even like half an apple in one doesn’t go brown and stays crisp. They come in 3 sizes and as I say not cheap but I have saved the cost over and over. I use to end up making home made pasta sauce and soups to use things up to save wasting , now I can use things to the very last. I hate shopping and there is just of us now.

Just to throw another supermarket in the mix have you tried Lidl? So they have Lidl plus app and I’ve had so much free stuff this last couple of month! Maybe worth a try!

That Aldi you went to has not been refurbished to the new spec of Go Fresh ! I'm surprised there are stores like this left , I work for Aldi and thr new spec layouts are much better and stores stock more items

Try decanting real they don’t like to Tupperware containers and I bet they’ll not notice

Alot of aldi have different stock too, but some have better stock than others well here in Australia especially meats and fresh fruit and vegies

Hi zoe aldi cornflakes and frosted cornflakes are made by kelloggs I got aldi cornflakes and they arereally nice so I googled where are the cornflakes made and they said its kelloggs I love most of the aldi stuff plus j get stuff from home bargain aldi iceland and bm is great for tooth paste love fran ❤xxxx

Hi love this new style shopping vlog. I always find it strange that Aldi do mixed trays(as regards the the jam) which means careful when choosing from these trays. As regards the middle isle i tend to do my food shop first then browse the middle isle as i find it distracting.

Zoe alot of main manufacturers all use same company to make there bread yogurts etc just different production line all same yogurts just use cheaper products to make yogurts etc with zoe if you no wot l mean its like nurofen if look at product barcodes its same ingredients as tesco or home bargains ibuprofen all made in same factory

Know you go through your food quickly but do you push the older items forward and stock newer at the back, rotation I mean for pantry items I mean mainly?

To be honest most food in Aldi is nice and some of it is made in the same factory as the branded stuff, no different either . The point of Aldi is that its quality stuff for a lot less . With the money your saving why not put it into a holiday account and tell your kids the more you save the more choice over where you go on holiday .Do you have a Heron near you as that is cheap for x brand stuff and Home and Bargains for your toothpaste, toiletries etc .

I hate food shopping and like you we have to shop on a budget, no one will eat Aldi fruit it doesn’t taste of anything, we go through strawberries and raspberries like crazy and we only buy the British ones because they are so much nicer but they have gone up! My kids don’t eat Aldi cereal and I did blind testing with Kelloggs and Aldi own and they got it right every time, you should try doing it the kids will love it and you will see which ones the kids like, you can tell the difference on a few but they do acclimate very quickly or they don’t get their 8 O’clock bowl of cereal they love watching a film and munching away! Can you lend me Isobel? I could really use some help with my cupboards, I can’t stand up and being in a wheelchair I can’t reach the top cupboards, I live with three males so I can only imagine what they look like! I also want some art made with shadow boxes I have everything ready I just don’t know how, I am willing to pay her and you and if she could make a cake for our wedding anniversary ( 29) years I got married at twenty one. So I will spoil her, I would love some female. Company! ❤❤❤

Your fruit prices are much less exlensive than the US where a single apple or orange can cost a dollar.

Everything from food,power,rent,car rego,insurances,and many other things have gone up quite alot here in Australia that size watermelon here would cost between $10 to $15,the blueberries 🫐 that size would be around $30 to $35

I do my shop in Lidl then anything I can’t get I go to Tesco but majority of my shopping is Lidl, and when I’m in the mood I’ll take a run to Elgin for Aldi xx

The hot tub on the start of vlog i could just sink into it , the heat snd bubbles so relaxing , lips out been with out hot water for over a year , Zoe i get the fruit ,/ fibre its really good plus had my own banana or blue berries, good 👍 get the Italian bread rolls i only buy plain ones , there is seasoning on them its not me , and cheese spicy sluces fab , look for wonky veg lot cheaper , satay sauce is yummy as a drip but hard to get out of bottle , dish wash tables only £3-50 fantastic, so good your going around showing items , but understand why you cant always do it , my god m/ms thats a joke , alot of meaning in jam with checked lids , think its to do with a family who help in war , and jews , its a true story , its been good Zoe , think with juice you go off colour instead of taste , its so hard at school holidays with food cost a fortune with biscuits fruit and crisps x 👍👊😘xx

I'm not impressed with your shopping..Why do you need to buy so many packs of crisps and sugary biscuits and who has paracetamol on their shopping list, same with dummies,children don't need a dummy.Fresh fruit and vegetables should be paramount on any shopping trip.
