Welcome to My World! My pronouns are she/her and I am a 54 year old mom who believes no matter how old we get, we never need to grow up! I collect Barbie, Monster High, Ever After High, Rainbow High, LOL OMG, Na Na Na Surprise, Disney Princess Dolls and so many more! I love fashion dolls and I believe that dolls are the best toys for people to improve empathy and to explore their creativity!

Those big head barbies are really creepy. Something about trying to do both realistic and cartoon at the same time goes right into Uncanny Valley territory for me.

From what I've seen Marilyn has color change streaks in her hair that turn pink in the sun which is really cool but I do agree that her outfit could be more......well just more I guess. Modernizing the white dress probably would have worked more on an OMG sized doll but trying to contextualize it to a tween didn't quite work for me? Goldie twist still reigns supreme for the tweenz blondes LOL

That's true! I think they're aging these ones around 11 years old so I think that she's dressed as much as a girl from her age group should be as far as Marilyn style.

@@Iheartreviewingstuff same but this is gonna be helpful for people who want a full collection and need to budget or even parents who need value for money. Like with mga getting doll clothes and shoes without having to buy a whole doll has kind of been difficult and people want variety and Ainsley might be perfect for that as a starting point for a collection. You know what I mean? And with certain easily breakable items a certain doll might not be so good to get. I hope this makes sense.

I got the Storm Twins first because I love their color scheme and aesthetic, but I have to admit that Ainsley comes with more stuff for her price point. And I can see Veronica's bubble gum piece being awkward for kids to deal with.

I definitely prefer the Barbie Mini over the Marilyn Star doll. She's my least favorite in the Series 3 Tweens, Nia and Emma are my picks this time, and I'll get her when she goes on sale. The Barbie Mini is really pretty, with the exception of those ugly little shoes.

I was looking forward to Marylin star. I love her face and makeup.. So pretty for a tween wanting to look like a star.The less rooting is upsetting though..

I feel like the name Marilyn Star will set people up for an expectation of an image of Marilyn Monroe but if she was named something like Angelica White, her vibe would make more sense. Out of the four tweens this series, she’s definitely my least favorite but I would still pick her over the extra minis. I’ve never seen a Barbie extra mini/regular that I like. They’re always just a mixture of fabrics, colors and materials that don’t really make sense. That, added to the fact that Barbie clothing/accessories are cheap quality makes the Barbie extra line to look so TACKY! Normally that would be fine since kids wouldn’t even care but would I really spend $16 for this mess? No thank you

I buy the Barbie Extra Minis. I think they are so cute. I bought the first 4 for 7.49 each at Walmart. I don’t have the 3 new ones, including the princess reviewed today. I do not buy the LOL dolls. They’re fashions are good, but their faces are not appealing to me, it’s those eyes!

I think you're spot on concerning the Tweens doll. She's exceptionally boring considering her heavy nod to Marilyn. Hair's a mess too and we've seen how great OMG and Tween hairstyles can be. I'm not thrilled with series 3 like I was with series 2.

Okay! Someone who agrees with me! I think that Series 2 was the top point of the series! I'm curious to see the quality of the masquerade twins. But so far that you out of four that I've opened from Series 3 have had some serious lack of fullness to their hair, and that's been my problem!

Yes people are finding RH Divas & SH neon at Walmart so far the pink & silver and pink & blue haven’t seen anyone find the green or gold. I ordered Marilyn on the lol store cause I wanted some of the new winter family omg minis series 2 (the color changers remix ones were sold out which I was so bummed cause I had ordered them on Walmart and they sent me series 1 😭🤦🏻‍♀️). Marilyn is my least fav in series 3. Even with the color change hair surprise just not enough for me in her design compared to the other 3 and previous series. 👍👍👍 I agree I actually like that Barbie extra mini doll too over Marilyn which is surprising but I’m liking the extra minis more in this next wave 👍👍👍

The Marlin doll reminds me of the time when you were, born at 67, They had these ridiculous pants for women that had loops over the bottom feet. Which were very ridiculous.

I got very excited seeing the Marilyn tween and was also somewhat disappointed with the hair :/ I think a Marilyn inspired bob wouldn’t gone AMAZING with her outfit (like just imagine it), as it would’ve been a modernized look!

I wouldn’t expect a tween to have heavy makeup, so I’m not in agreement with that critique. I think all the LOL Tweens are adorable, and have Marilyn on the way. Not a fan of the Extra Minis 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do prefer LOL Tweens becuase she cute and simple which we do need MGA to have more simple dolls. With Barbie Minis there face is really off putting prefer they did use the face on the other children dolls heads they used, as more realstic yet still look like a child, but with this head it's making them more cartoony then realism which is Barbie is base on

I'm very very excited to get the Ginger Spice One and the Decora/Scene one, but the other 2 Tweens do absolutely nothing for me! It's weird that 2 look fantastic and 2 look boring/banal! As for the Extra Minis, they're good for kids, but don't excite this adult collector. I'd get them if they showed up in my thrift store, but I'm not paying retail or even clearance prices.
