I like Plaguies as much as the next person, but people just want to shoehorn him in to a story any kind of way. If they stay anywhere close to Legends age Plagueis would be around 15 at the time…old enough to possibly be a new apprentice to Tenebrous, but clearly not old enough to be a mastermind of the Sith. It seems like the right time for Tenebrous to have discarded an apprentice to take on Plagueis.
You might have stumbled onto something... what If this story is taking place the same time as plaguies is taken on as an apprentice and he was the one who stab the guy in the acolyte... so it's a Sith fraction we are watching. While the real Sith are doing their thing else where...
Shut it man, this show is awesome. They clearly know what they’re doing. Haters like you are mirroring the haters of the prequels when they first came out. Grow up
@@SenfMustardYes, you in the 13% are absolutely right😂 And the prequels did suck, But they've made us thankful after the horror of the Disney trilogy and their shows. Turns out we can acknowledge that the prequels were bad, but Disney Star Wars is the worst without question
My thought is that we may get a Tenebrous or Plagueis reveal(hopefully Tenebrous) and that if they do get a season 2 we’ll get to see the training of Plagueis and Tenebrous death on Bal’demnic(likely the unknown planet in this episode)
It could be the opposite side. Either that or ach-to before it got dried up. Opposite hemisphere would make sense because rey reached down and felt darkness
OMG i cant believe that plagues is only 20 years old now..... Ya they added him now this is 80 years before the phantom menace so he is in his 20.... Cant wait for them to change his age again same as they did to mundi
@@TB4585 I already know the conclusions plagueis would be 15 years old around this time period and he's a muun according to George Lucas the creator of star wars and tenebrous is a bith
@@StarForceOne that's according to legends which is an alternate universe to what George Lucas wrote cause in an interview the expanded universe is not his doing
@@JAy-dx1xb well I don't even know if he'd even be apprenticed to tenebrous or not yet because I don't know how old hego damask was when tenebrous found him
No. The opening scrawl of this series places the time at 100 years before the rise of the empire, ie the end of Revenge of the Sith. Plagueis dies at the end of the Phantom Menace, 32-34yrs/BBY, When he met Palpatine he confided that was already older than a human lives. That was 67yrs/BBY,58 years before the rise of the Empire. Plagueis was most likely 140ish when Palpatime kills him and would be closer to 50 during the time of the Acolyte. He apprenticed to Tenebrous for decades, beginning as a child.
@@brandongayhart3277 I mean in legends he'd be 15. We don't know his age in Canon + if they do stick to his canon age and don't age him up a lil, they could definitely do Tenebrus (is canon as a sith and BY NAME and he's known as being ancient and that a legion was named after him)
Darth plagueis in his prime way before the clone wars they just entered into an opportunity for darth plagueis tv show which would be great because depending on how that show goes it could revive Disney Star Wars but I bet Disney doesn’t even realize they did that
I'm told Ahsoka's second season had casting out for Abeloth as a character, which if true would line up with the several hints of her being in the background in the first season. I doubt the popular idea that Qimir is directly connected to Plagueis or Tenebrous anywhere because his being a human would be a massive change from a Bith and he carefully worded to Sol that he wasn't a Sith, just that the Jedi would probably think of him as one. Sith lords also tend to just kill a former apprentice if they're too unsatisfied with them. I initially thought Qimir may have been a former slave, but the idea that the Vernestra is just a really bad excuse for a Jedi and abused him then left him somewhere and maybe said he died would explain to an extent why she's so insistent on looking into it personally if she suspects it's him.
Jesus christ we need to stop with the Ki-adi-mundi age discussion, this was never canon, it was some random magazine that just stated it. Never in canon have we heard of his age, so stop with this stupid critisicm.
So I was actually speculating that this would be around the time that Tenebrous and his unnamed Twi'lek master would open a rift in the force that would allow the Jedi to sense their presence for the first time in 800 years (mentioned in Plageuis). How that would play into the series is anyone's guess. I would love to see Tenebrous show up as a Sith apprentice and easily beat Qimir. Then Tenebrous goes to his master with information about Cortosis on Bal'demnic. His master becomes arrogant and pours his dark energy into creating a rift in the force with the intent of taunting the Jedi Order. While the Twi'lek is distracted, he is slain by Tenebrous thus setting up a Darth Plageuis series.
Its Disney, for all we know, he could be a younger Palpatine. As silly as that sounds, it would totally track with Disney's handling of the lore, so far. Still, he is the first really interesting character in the show. Sol is good too, but everybody else is just kinda....there.
@@Aeolusdallas @shoreknightseer3152 has made a completely rational statement. When the lore is played so fast and loose as Disney plays it, the nonsense lies in trying to create a rationally consistent theory.
@@Aeolusdallas yeah, that's kinda the point. Disney has no trouble doing odd things to lore, just because. Do I think he's actually a younger Palpatine, heck no. Would I be shocked if Disney did that, or something equally bizarre? Not even remotely.
Well, I think that is kind of everybody's problem. Yes , sure Star War legends ( EU) ŵhat ever you want to call is and was good. But it's no longer actually canonical unless it or some aspect is added to the current Canon. People are holding on to it and any attempt to make Star Wars Canon as is , is always compared to the stories of different authors and a comic from this publisher and 7 different games from 4 different companies. It won't work.
For anyone saying there won’t be a season 2 you’re right. There’s no reason to title season 2 “The acolyte” anymore because the acolyte subject is passed. It will be a new series called something else, but it will be the follow up to this.
@StarForceOne I haven't read the Plaqueis novel, don't know much about it so I appreciate this information. What you speculated makes sense to me. I just wish the show was executed so much better in terms of writing, acting and dialogue.
How come, then, the miniseries didn't just label this planet, Bal'Demnic? That would've just clarified things. Why the need for all of the mystery? Yes, I'm starting to lean on the side of Qimir becoming Ren, after being Venamis. At least, that would make some rational sense, and it wouldn't ruin canon...anymore.
Yeah I wish, but we all know Disney writers don't actually like being successful or doing anything cool that makes sense with canon. Bet they try to rewrite all the lore because "they know best."
It would be just like Disney to give the dans what they really want (Plagueis!) at the very end of a series that was so bad it will never get another season.
"This isn´t an issue"?? Bro sorry but if they change the species of Tenebrous and/or Plagueis I would hate that so much. Would be mad mad. Like just no! It is one of if not my favorite story in Star Wars and It´s perfect as is. No need to change anything about it. I would rather have them leaving it alone than to tough a single piece of it if they are changing stuff!
It’s not an issue. Their species weren't defined in canon, ever. Even with Lucas at the reigns. Only fans of the novels would care. The general public (that still watches) won’t care.
@@thehalfricanguy Fair point, I´m just saying that I and probably a lot of other people would care. I just don´t see the point in changing what legends had already established. Especially with how I feel like to many (main) characters are human in modern Star Wars. A nice variety of species wouldn´t hurt and I think they should just honor legends in that aspect, not saying they can´t change anything. I mean how would you feel if someone desided to change stuff about your favorite character that you have loved for ages? Even if it is just the appearance
@@Wookiee120 I feel you. It would be nice to get more variety. Plageuis, though, I’m fine with switching. Unless they can nail the CGI or practical effects of the head. Otherwise, just switch the species, so we don't have a Superman mustache situation.
Acolyte is one of the worst series of Star Wars, hey Annikan destroyed the star destroyer… Disney has no idea about Star Wars and the only reason that sound interesting and possible to have something to do with plageus is you… the fans who know a lot about Star Wars and try to find the dots to make it logical… where there are none because Disney is poisen for Star Wars. Wake up boykot disney.
i hope im proven wrong but man (i also hope not they would tarnish plagueis a lot). if anything we'll see venamis slaughter this dude. even disney wouldnt mix the feel of this show with plagueis, no way.
I'm re-reading the Plagueis nivel and its infinitely better than this boring ass show. If Plagueis or Tenebrous comes in and slaughters Qimir, Mae and Osha I'll be happy.
i have a lot of issues with this show, i dont know if i want a season 2 with this poor writeing. i dont want darth plagueis to be poor writen. the whole jedi reveal fellt underwelming eventhough i like charactera like mea and osha and sol.
@@davidordaz5251 o well man at least we get it plus we all know how crazy legends was they needed to separate it and one name proves why starkiller or (male ray) my new name for him
I personally didn’t care for this episode honestly. This was very confusing and all over the place story wise. It’s so hard to keep up I think. I can definitely understand the hate behind this show now but to me it’s just mostly average and forgettable. At least we only have 2 more episodes left to go regardless.
I don't know much about legends, Darth plagueis novel,, do you think they will screw him or Darth Tenebrous up, if they are in the show. I do understand how EU fans feel . Cheers
