The thing about superman's character is he is so ridiculously overpowered almost nothing can face him head on. To all of those saying batman... Accurate comparison! Nolan is only superior in experience and fighting IQ (Being one of the highest ranked warrior a thousand years). In all the other aspects, Clark is ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE above of him. Superman once fused with another version of himself and became one of the most powerful comic book characters to ever exist. They even mention his weakness to magic, it’s not necessarily a weakness, but he’s vulnerable to it. However it doesn’t mean he can’t learn to use magic himself. Which is really scary when you think about it

Viltrumites have such good endurance that their guts could be hanging, they’d basically be dead and keep fighting. The only weak spot a viltrumite has, is their heart.
a lot of viltrumites die from plainly having too many injuries like the ones Battle Beast fight during the war, and the ones Alan fights as well. Their only actual weakness in the tradituonal sense is their equilibrium which can incapacitate them to a certain degree

I’m pretty sure one of the only Superman parodies/references that could actually stand a chance is Metroman, he’s the only one I can think of that has apparently no discernible weakness or vulnerability (even survives a direct blast from the sun without a scratch) and his speed feats trump even most versions of Supes, showcwasing speed more akin to the Flash.

Superman is not the most powerful character in DC. Dr. Manhattan is more powerful than Superman. Then there is Phantom Stranger, Trigon, Lucifer Morningstar, and Michael Demiurgos, Elaine Belloc, Overmonitor, Perpetua, Nekron, The Presence, Pralaya, Barbatos The Universe-Eater, and others.

It's a more entertaining fight than Superman vs homelander. It's crazy to think he can beat all of them, which he can. You really gotta realize just how overpowered Superman is, even for being created in 1938. This is probably the best edit I've seen about this topic, and it's my favorite.
I don't know about omni man being less agile since even in the show, he has shown the ability to zip around at massively hypersonic speeds, giving him an insane acceleration(like 100k 'g' worth of it) and in turn insane durability and strength to be able to handle that kind of g forces. He is actually one of the best flier I have seen in any show and is easily comparable to movie superman. But I suppose the comics might be a different story. It would be nice if people stopped bringing up comics for character comparison since the comic writers don't care much about realism and think that just making characters more powerful make the story compelling.

Omniman has lived for much longer and probably been in more fights but Superman can process info much faster and can process tons of info more in depth (like smelling your tears and knowing what fabric you're wearing by the slightest sound it makes) meaning he takes like a hundred times more out of his fights. Superman also fights with people on or above his level a lot more often and takes on characters with much more complex abilities, like Batman, Doomsday, Parasite, MManhunter, Lex, Dr Manhattan, Lobo, etc. IQ and Battle IQ: IQ, definitely not. Battle IQ, not sure. From what I know, I'd give it to Omniman, but I'm sure if you look hard enough you'd find plenty of feats where Superman uses complicated battle tactics that would suggest better Battle IQ when he's not just resorting to brute force. Skill: Never. Superman knows martial arts that Omniman couldn't even comprehend. I could have a few details wrong, but Superman, in the body of Batman, beat a guy (forgot his name but it was dragon or snake related) who was considered one of the greatest martial artists on earth. Superman has also fought/sparred with Wonder Woman, Zod, Lobo, Darkseid and Brainiac, each with Superman levels of power but much, much more skill than anyone from Invincible.

I stopped comparing SM counterpart with him because there are lots and lots of SM variations. Some are much more powerful than OM, but for DCEU version, yeah, he literally lost to an orphan in costume with mental issues and a sore throat.

Even if you're on the side of Omniman and say he will crush Superman in a real fight, none of that matters because Superman treats mankind like his family and would die to protect them. Superman has more heart and spirit and generates more hope than Omnimam ever could. Superman's powers are really infinite and he holds back, he is just as fast as the Flash or even faster and never chooses to dodge a bullet, he seems to like getting hit on purpose.
