@@salamander7125 woaaah thanks for listening!!! glad u liked it!!! and thats funny that we both have the same hat lmfao! i actually have been following your uke tutorials every now and then and honestly they’re so good haha, we should definitely make something sometime if you’re down for it!
@@worldpain1309 Yeah like maybe I could send you a file of a uke chord progression and you could use it in a song? I've been wanting to do something like that for a while now actually haha
@@Simoneister This reminds me of their second album (and one of my favourite albums ever), Devotion. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WSLXEdI5ZVs.html
Yeah look I had absolutely no idea this was going to get so popular lol I was just trying to make a Video Every Day in April last year. This one was easy, and people latched on to it for some reason!
@@kaitlyns8268 They used to be around $200 a few years ago. The popularity combined with the fact that they’re not made any more really made them expensive
Fwiw, when this vid brought it back on my radar, I searched and found someone selling a Q-Chord for $125 on Craigslist. That's surprisingly low, but there are always people out there who don't know what their old gear is worth. The Q-Chord is newer (Suzuki says it's still in production) so less vintage factor, but it's got midi out which is pretty cool. Keep looking and you can find something
Reminds me of the very happy hours I used to spend composing in Impulse Tracker as a teenager. There was something about that period in MIDI synthesis that hit the sweet spot: still artificial, but with a clean synthesis and a kind of depth and weight.
Oh my goodness.. my dreams have come true🥹 I’ve always wondered if there was somehow an instrument that could make such beautiful and magical sounds like the Omnichord does🥹… I’m so happy. This was such a good lil song 😌✨💜 really peaceful and fantastical💫🌈
Yeah. I just discovered this instrument recently through a cover video someone did on “Remember you” from adventure time. The OM-27 verson is just so aesthetically pleasing to me in so many different ways. I want one so badly but its like $500-$700+ on reverb and im legitimately so sad
@@Rice_Wolf yes but in the fall of this year the company that makes them are going to remake them for the 70th anniversary of the company because they've noticed people searching for them I was sad they are so expensive too but hopefully they will be about half the price and with new parts :))))))
Makes me feel like I'm riding a cute little cloud car down a highway over the sea, the city big and bright on the horizon line, and the stars are beginning to come out. So pretty!
You are amazing I don't know why but this made me cry a lot. I love the beautiful tune and that you're playing this in your lovely pajamas XD From Japan with love💓
@@doblet664 Once I got comfortable being alone I got a call from a cool alien chick from the Crystal City and we rode around listening to sweet Omnichord jams as she named each strand of hair on my head after the names of stars and planets. I think I’m in love
I have 2 acoustic autoharps. I alter them and make custom chord bars to play songs that aren't possible with the autoharp's limited chord options. I really dig that this version does major, minor and 7ths in all 12 keys! I could do a LOT with that
@@Simoneister I spent some time researching them after your vid and saw some models do all those extra chords. You could do anything with that. Q-Chords look like they're still in production, so I could get one used way cheaper than an Omni.
Very awesome playing! I've always screwed around with VST plugins of Omnichord type sounds, but never knew they were derived from this type of audio hardware. Thanks for sharing this video, that is a very cool piece of history you have there! I tried to find one for myself but when I saw the price I decided to stick with my plugins for now! :)
I guess my dad had one of these when I was a little kid? I had completely forgotten about it until seeing this. Wow. I played with this exact model a lot in the 80s.
I had a chance to buy 2 of these for 25 dollars just a few mins ago. I looked this up to see what they sound like never had seen one before. Guy said his late wife played them in church
this is gonna sound over dramatic i think but this video is the first one i ever saw an omnichord in and therefore caused me to fall down the hugest rabbit hole ever, so I just wanna say thanks so much for introducing me to my favorite instrument and fixation ever,, i don’t know what it is but everything about this video is perfect, like it’s the CHILLEST jam i’ve ever listened to bc your musical ability with this thing is incredible (you even somehow got the color palette of the video to look awesome???) one day i hope i can get my hands on an omnichord, but for now i’m okay just watching awesome omnichord videos like this :>
Yeah they've gotten real popular over the past few years. Check the "Sold" tab on eBay when searching for your exact model to see how much people tend to be paying for them.
