Omochao gets angry whenever you kill his turtle. And sometimes he kills it himself by throwing a TV at it. That’s what happened when he prevented you from seeing Peach.

Also, for those who don't know, the Toad at the end of the castle in SMB1, unlike Mario, is on the background layer, while Mario is on the sprite layer. If you were to remove the sprite layer, only Mario would vanish. Furthermore, the castle at the end of every non-castle level in SMB1, the reason Mario disappears after "entering" it, is because they hid Mario behind the foreground layer, that is the open "gap" in the end of level castle. How they stopped Mario to keep running after touching the flagpole, is that one of the "brick" tiles of those kinds of "castle", is disguised as part of the castle, when in truth, it's an ordinary brick block you see everywhere in level 1-1, and is placed in Mario's way so he doesn't "escape" that "castle" pixel art during the autorunning till the next level is loaded. Many retro games in general, tend to have creative "solutions" to create an illusion of what they want to implement in the games, but the hardware at the time was too weak to pull it off.

I think that Sonic got fed up with Omochao so he brought him to Shadow to use Chaos control to send Omochao into Mario's world to aggravate Mario. Maybe the modder should of made a back story video to show how Omochao got into Mario's world.

8-4 is definitely the hardest level of the original Super Mario Bros., as it should be, as it's the final level. Not just does it combine the most annoying parts of the rest of the game, but also has an especially hard Bowser fight, throwing even more hammers and not having a platform to get to the axe.

(25:42-26:09) That is just ludicrously silly. Omochao froze you in place to prevent you from advancing to the right to see Peach, and then summoned a turtle, dropped a TV on it, then blamed you for the turtle's death and killed you. (I bet you could've pressed a button during all that to officially finish the game and return to the title screen.)

All omochao prompts that do something: “I’m going home to watch TV.”: summons a TV that damages you if it lands on you. If it hits a block, that block breaks. “I’m going to play with the turtle now.”: Spawns a naked koopa that homes in on you. If the turtle is killed in a way that turns the sprite upside down, omochao kills you. “My allowance is all gone!”: sets your coins and score to zero. Simple as that.

I have an idea. You can make up an English translation for the Nintendo Puzzle Collection version of Yoshi's Cookie (since the English translation of the Nintendo Puzzle Collection of Dr. Mario can be found in Dr. Mario 64, and the English translation of the Nintendo Puzzle Collection of Panel De Pon can be found in a translation patch). To start things off, Quinne Phoenix already did English translations for the Story Mode, Congratulation screens, and the Free-For-All Battle Mode character select menu. So, I hope you can do English translation for the rest of the game (Main menu, name entry menu, Story Mode difficulty select menu, Options menu, Single Player Hint Mode menu, Multiplayer Hint Mode menu, choices for when you clear a stage in Original Mode, Pause menu, Continue menu, and Save screen).
