I had the same feeling with the Battle Tower in Pokemon Sword/Shield. I knew Toby made *a* song for it but I knew exactly which one it was as soon as it played
Okay I know this song was created before UNDERTALE came out and stuff but like… hearing this song in-game for the first time and seeing that Toby made it… idk it just made me really emotional. This song makes me feel like I'm being greeted by an old friend or something, it’s really comforting. I guess it’s fitting considering you find the Merry CD during the part of the game where Sunny finally starts seeing his old friends again after four years.
That really is the best way to describe what it felt like seeing that Toby Fox did music for this game and hearing it: "being greeted by an old friend".
The fun thing about this song is that it shares a lietmotif with Deltarune chapter 2's d.ogg, which is the song that plays before the Snowgrave fight vs Berdly. So that happens :)
nah bro i can recognize toby's music from a mile away, the first time i heard this i was like ''oh this sounds like smth that would be in undertale or deltarune!'' and so here we are
It helps that Omori takes place in the summer and this is an in-universe song, so clearly you're not the only one who doesn't abide by seasonal music rules.
I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry... I don't cry...
same for me, probably because it was the first song i heard from omori as i told myself i wouldn’t listen to any from the game then heard it wasn’t by the regular composer.
@@StafkiGTN Yes, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you should always connect the word merry to christmas, that's just what it's mostly used as. For example, in lotr, or lord of the rings, one of the main characters is called merryweather, but they call him merry as a nickname. It doesn't really have anything to do with christmas in that form of saying.
It feels like this song belongs more in Deltarune than it does Omori. It is fitting because this song was composed by Toby Fox. Considering Deltarune actually predates Undertale by quite a bit I wouldn't be surprised if this was once used as Noel's theme during the very early development of Deltarune
fun fact: this song has a lietmofit with deltarune, since this was used in deltarune chapter 2, on the snowgrave route, but its different *(obviously)*
Blast this in Every Dec 25 on Xmas day ;) Cuz im a fan of xmas and omori Edit:Sounds like the piano music from Dragonball Z saga tho ;) That piano part
