The absence of sunflower seems like a tactical decision to avoid a Hellwar in the comments. Either way im a huge fan of this ship and the hints given in the game make it almost canonical. Despite my love of cute boys doing cute things i cant deny how codependent this rlationship might end up being and how troubled they both are might spell doom for their relationship. Communication is important for a ship and the entire game is about a communication issue. So uhh... A tier.

i was afraid when Hero x Kel wasn't immediately put in F tier at the beginning like the other one that shall not be named, but thankfully it was still added, just a little later on
as long as a ship makes sense or straight up canon, ill allow it. such as Aubrey X Sunny, considering Sunny has a crush on Aubrey, or Hero x Mari, as their literally GF and BF
Aubrey also seems to have had a crush on Sunny, at least while they were younger (ik the dreams aren't a reliable source of info, but there were signs in his flashbacks too)
@@Taskmasterxyz There were a couple signs that she reciprocated his feelings (when they were on the swings together near the end of the game, she asks for him to stay in touch with her while being a bit bashful)
@@knightmare5097 Aubrey would also make glances toward Sunny during the comic book reading event. Clearly, along with the swings event, something is still going on between them.
They are three years apart, correct? Even if it might not be everyone's cup of tea (it's certainly not mine) it's not large enough of a gap. With that in mind, it's without a doubts better than Sweetheart and Space boyfriend, which is just a toxic ship in general canonically.
Personally my enjoyment out of a ship depends on how its written. Does it explore the characters dynamic in a new interesting way, or is it obvious self indulgent shipping getting in the way of the story I actually want to see? It all depends on how its executed. And of course, illegal ships are always going to be bad to me.

@@TheCoolWind Imma be real with you, none of them would work out because of exactly what the 2nd comment said, Sunny would move on If any of them would happen, it would be Sunny and Aubrey since it’s been hinted at and poked at by the game, suntan would be the 2nd ship that would work, but sunny x hero would never make sense
i agree with this list! AUBREY and SUNNY seem to be the most canon-uncanon ship, considering SUNNY was confirmed to have a crush on her when he was 12, and after SUNNY met AUBREY again in the real world dream AUBREY started to become more obvious about her crush on OMORI. (his feelings seemed to rekindle), and AUBREY *seemed* to like him back, at the end-ish of the game, where she asks him to keep in contact on the swings. i don't want them to get together immediately after the game, but i hope once they all heal from the reveal they can get together!
I agree because this is a Cannon ship and it's strange that people still like the Sunflower ship even though Basil is the one who knows and supports Sunny x Aubrey

Hero and Sunny as a platonic relationship, at least in concept, is an absolute S+ tier for me, but romantic? Absolute F tier. It just feels suuuuuuper iffy and frankly almost like hero is 'replacing' mari with her brother, so thanks.
Yeah, yeah. Let's not forget the maturity difference. Even if the AOC may be something like 16, it still would be controversial, especially considering Hero is more mature and is in college and Sunny is less mature and in High School (technically and hypothetically, he had quit school when indoors for four years). And normally it is considered taboo by a lot of people.
You forgot to mention one ship! Mari X Stairs! (Okay, honestly, you forget to mention Sweetheart X Rococo, but I doubt that would have gone further than D Tier.)
I’m a person who has never cared about shipping nor have i ever wanted to dabble with that stuff… but idk man… Sunburn just feels too good long term for me to not really like it. I like it when Its not too in your face and its subtle and nice, two people that can relate to a shared crime (pushing someone in the heat of the moment) so i image they’d be on the same boat with their issues. Its also not a ship i really see just being based around one annoying stereotype like most of the other ones, its just its own thing and its nice. (like how Kelbrey is basically just bickering and nothing else, or Kimbrey just being a big “be gay do crime” ship because why not, i mean theres nothing wrong with liking those ships for those reasons but i need more than that personally) It has always been the one that I feel would be really good after all the healing and getting their lives back on track later on in life. Its not a ship i’d want to happen right at the game ends or during the game because i feel like no characters are ready for a relationship at that point, but when they’re all living life after the pain of the game Sunburn is my instant go-to. Anyways i could go on longer but i’d be here forever
A man after my own heart. I completely agree. I'm not a shipper and I can count the non-canon romantic pairings I care about on one hand, and in fact I hate shippers and shipping culture in general(even more so now after being exposed Omori's shipping culture). These are my views on it too and in my own internal, post-game continuity(I can't be the only one), Sunny doesn't even start thinking about his feelings for her until after he's sorted a lot of his shit out. It's just a weird situation, I rarely even get that interested in romantic pairings that are a part of the actual storyline, yet this little "Hey they probably like each other, I dunno" stuff in there makes me really want that for them, in defiance of the hardship they're facing and are going to face once the credits roll. It's just part of what I'd like for them in their efforts to fight back against the awful hand they've been dealt.

And Sunny is actually pretty damn strong to pull himself out of the 4 year old rut and make things better, along with helping an entire section of his town until he was loved by all, did tuitions after leaving the house not even an hour ago, part time jobs and earning, approaching random poor people and giving them said money, etc… The guy is not just a wimpy soft boy, and since we’re on this topic, people generally spin this ship as a “girlboss X Malewife” type thing which just makes 0 sense since Sunny and Aubrey completely miss those stereotypes, idk, fandom completely watering them down into trope skeletons.
I think basil would be too reliant on sunny and it would become toxic, and even worse after the truth. But idk, it could go either way. Probably like B tier.

This is just something I thought of while watching that isn't necessarily about the video, but I do love that any discussion about characters relationships almost always talk about Mari likes she's still around with the main cast. Because she totally is, nothing bad happens to her in-game, we as a fandom aren't in denial what are you talking about :)

Omori is a rly nice game i ussually whatch comic dubs and have a playlist thatbim gonna rewatch in 2-3 years. This fandom has really helped me to escape reality and dysphoria. But then theres fricking sunny x something like what ?ew .like idk who created that ship but nah that person must have been higher than gas prices.
I was confused when I heard about Aubrey x Mari, because some people called it Aubri, I was confused, because I thought it was just Aubrey’s name, but I realized it was Aub, for Aubrey, and ri, for Mari. Hence Aubri.

I assume its taking into account of the two of them being of age to get into a relationship, if they’re both over 18 then the age gap isn’t really an issue in this case. Still would rather have them be platonic in any case but still just something to point out
@@Habizuh_Studios yeah, ig the only issue is that Hero/Mari are over 18 while the others are not, but assuming its based on the idea that they’re all above 18 in terms of shipping them at some point in the future there is no real legal issue. But yeah, would still not consider them in the first place

honestly it's rare to see a video like this actually give any more thought to the ship ratings then just 'its cute' or 'I like it' so I really appreciate the consideration put into it. The one thing is that putting the ONE poly ship on the list only one tier above the incest just because it's poly kind of irks me? Like, at least give an explanation as to why you don't think they'd work as well.

Listen Suntan is just the sweetest most rotting teeth ship I’ve ever come across and it’s absolutely wild. I love them so much. Also the idea of Hero finding out and being like “omg!! Cute” and then finding out the truth just like “bro… really? Him?” Will never not be funny to me. Sunburn seems like it could work but only after Aubrey comes to terms with the consequences of Sunny pushing an oopsie daisy. Sunflower feels like a codependent toxic relationship forged through trauma bonding and like ngl it’d make pretty cool storytelling but it would for sure be unhealthy as hell. However pre oopsie daisy would’ve been cute like book nerds being all gay together but post oopsie daisy would just be trauma bonding. Cactiflower really does feel like it boils down to “he asked for no pickles.” I almost have no opinions on it. Photobomb gives bully x victim and I’m not sure how to feel about that like the potential for it to be cute is there but also I feel like their relationship would evolve to be more like siblings than romantic partners. Okay, but I'm just going to say hmmm I'm not trying to be a buzz kill I swear 😭 but for some reason, hero x Sunny does not sit right with me especially since Hero was like 15 or 16 in Headspace, and if you add four years to that…….. That would make him 19 in the real world. Another thing is that I don't think dating your girlfriend's brother is going to help your grief that much and the ship itself would just be really icky so I would PERSONALLY give it an F but your video was really good overall!
