hello, I have a thermoforming machine (BOBS 580 * 520) and there is a problem with the plc the screen works partially we have the OMRON CP1H to connect it to the computer but it asks for the code what can you help us please
thanks a lot for that video, but I have a question i'm using CP1H-XA and i have the optional board CP1W-CIF01 and have RS232_USB converter but still need the Pin connection between both (for seial connection) could u help me with it ?!
www.myomron.com/modules/KB/Image/image/Images/1536/1536-2.jpg This link will take you to the pinout for the PC to CP1W-CIF01. Note: Your RS232_USB may require additional an jumper for the CS - RS signals. Regards, Garry
I'm trying to connect my Omron CP1H with my PC using ethernet cables through router. The CP1H is equipped with CP1W-CIF41 ethernet option board which the ethernet cable is plugged in. I'm not sure how the configurations are on CX-Programmer and which IP address I should use.
Hi Zariq, You must first connect to the unit via the Ethernet/web browser. The default IP address is 192.168.250.1. Enter the following address in your browser: Default web address: 192.168.250.1/E00.htm (E00 for English) Default Login Password: ETHERNET Once you change the IP address to 0.0.0.0. You can change the IP address through CX-Programmer. If the address is not on 0.0.0.0, the CX-Programmer can only read the address. Here are a couple of links that will help you out. www.myomron.com/index.php?article=1212&action=kb omronkft.hu/nostree/pdfs/plc/cp1/0904-cp1w-cif41bycdd.pdf Regards, Garry
I tried doing what you suggested but I can't open the IP address on the browser and I checked the D memory on CX-Programmer where the IP address supposed to be shown if it was changed but all of the memory are empty. However, the COMM indicator light on the CP1W-CIF41 was blinking. Any more suggestions? Please.
Update: I clicked Transfer to PLC on the memory window and it load up all the memory. I checked DM32155 and DM32156 and the IP address is 192.168.250.1. But I still can't open it through browser or go online.
If We're communicating to the CP1H PLC via the serial communications, then can we use the USB cable connection also? can you communicate with this PLC without BOTH communications cables connected at the same time? AKA could you program it via the USB connections and have the PLC communicate with a HMI at the same time (RS232) ?/ Great tutorials BTW Gary! I've subscribed to your channel, very helpful!
Hi Eric, Yes you can communicate to the PLC with both communication cables connected at the same time. The RS232 can be used for programming or the HMI. The USB connection is just for programming. Thanks for subscribing to the channel Eric. Garry
@@ACCautomation hi sir ,I tried communication using USB to serial .it connects but is not going stable .it's shows 1 second run mode and then finding again PLC .it's not working properly .any solution ? Thanks Regards Wahab
@@wahabmazari1030 I have found that not all USB to serial cables will work. This is the one I have been using. amzn.to/3jY0x3e Please note that you will still need to make a custom cable on the RS232 side. PC --- Omron RS232 2 ------------------ 2 3 ------------------ 3 5 ------------------ 9 7 to 8 4 to 5 4 to 6 I hope this helps you out. Regards, Garry
@@ACCautomation thanks for your quick reply .this cable is still work like connected download from PLC all data. But still flactuation problem like not stable. I want to ask again if you don't mind .in your opinion is cable problem or something else.thanka
@@wahabmazari1030 Since you can communicate and download, I would think that it may not be the cable. Here are a couple of additional thoughts: - Try another computer and see if you are still getting the same errors? - How long is the cable? Is it by itself or connected with other cables in a tray? The cable should be isolated so noise will not interfere. - Try selecting a slower baud rate. The slower baud rate will be more tolerant of noise and work over a longer distance. - Try closing your background applications on your computer. (Anti-Virus, etc. ) Maybe this is taking up too much time and timing out the serial port. Let me know how you make out. Regards, Garry
Hi Sunil Patel, I cannot help you with removing any passwords or protected code. Please contact the programmer to get the information you require for the program. Regards, Garry
Hi Norman, You must have the PLC to simulate your ladder logic program. Omron does not provide this feature for this series of the controller. Omron has a simulator for the CS/CJ series. www.edata.omron.com.au/eData/Software/CX-One/R151-E1-02.pdf CX-Simulator enables you to realize SYSMAC CS/CJ series CPU Units in your computer as a virtual PLC and operate (simulate) it equally as actual CPU Units. Regards, Garry
Hi Marjan, What is the model number of the HMI Panel? Has this worked in the past? If it is an Omron HMI then selecting any two corners will call up the menu of the HMI. Look under the port settings to ensure that they are the same as the PLC. Regards, Garry
