The ARC 134 is a 13.4 metres long, 3-door citybus produced by Auto Rad Controlle Ltd. The company was established in 1989 and their first bus debuted in 2003, in cooperation with MJT (Magyar Járműtechnika). It was called MJT-ARC 183 and was basically an improved version of the Ikarus 417.
Later the two companies parted ways and ARC decided to develop a brand new, low floor citybus family. The first model was the ARC 187, released in 2005. With the length of 18.75 metres it was the longest Hungarian-made 3 axle articulated bus. The unusual layout of the 5 passenger doors and the just as unusual looking front was a not everyday sight. Soon the series went under well-deserved facelift.
The solo version was released in 2007. It was 13.4 metres long (hence the name 134), powered by a Euro 4 Cummins ISL 280B engine, paired with a 6 speed automatic ZF 6 HP 504C gearbox.
The development of the OMSI model started sometime in 2012. It was among the first Hungarian projects for OMSI. Unfortunately the original author had to give up the project years ago, but thanks to the OMSI Workshop and The Creators, it is still being developed, albeit painfully slowly.
