Hello and welcome to another OMSI 2 video!
Today we're back in France, but a different region. This is the Saint-Servan map which has been out since the middle of December 2020. We'll be driving an Irisbus "Citelis" on the route 200 which goes from one area in Saint-Servan to another.
Much like the Grand Paris Moulon map this map is full of lag. It even got so bad that the OMSI 2 loading screen popped up mid journey... it's not done that to me even on addon London. I think for £22.55 which is what it costs on the Steam store the passengers could at least have some French voices recorded... as it utilises the standard OMSI German voices... for me that's poor given we've paid £22.55 for the pleasure.

Nice video Joe, thanks for saving us viewers, from horrible laggy maps, although i have to say, i prefer Voith gearboxes over ZF gearboxes, also joe, a youtuber whose channel is called whistleheaad, is an omsi developer who is building a new game that will hopefully be better than omsi.

Bear in mind many OMSI2 content creators couldn't optimise their way out of a paper bag with clearly written directions. There's a reason why Hamburg runs better than the default maps. You might want to reduce your tiles to just 1 and limit traffic to 100 (iirc) and lower pax numbers to around there as well. Reducing tiles will cause frequent loading stutters, but it does improve performance above and beyond what you could get with any other setting. Unless you're already on 1 tile, in which case - tough titty. And why am I not surprised to find a squareabout in France.

anyone know why my ticket machine doesnt display like joe's does?

How do you turn on the ticket machine? It just shows grey.

@10.50 mins. London DLC is more realistic because it's a real=life carbon copy of it which is why it took so many years to complete whereas Saint-Servan is ficticious.

It was more a point of there’s more street furniture, London just feels like a real place (I know it is 🤣) but Saint-Serbian just doesn’t feel like it could be a real place if you catch my drift

Gosh, the lag is awful on OMSI 2 European maps. Shame that because the map and bus looks very promising.

What a staggeringly laggy mess! When will OMSI developers realize that it's no good making 1000s of objects and detail, if OMSI can't run the map adequately. To a degree, it's the same with Addon London. Stunning, but no fun due to poor performance.
