Omweso (sometimes shortened to Mweso) is the traditional mancala game of the Ugandan people.
It is amazing the skills and the speed of the game, also it can change with sudden twist to the opponent's side.
The game was supposedly introduced by the Bachwezi people of the ancient Bunyoro-kitara empire of Uganda.
Nowadays the game is dominated by Ugandan villagers.
Omweso requires a board of 32 pits, arranged with eight pits lengthwise towards the players, and four pits deep.
Each player's territory is the 16 pits on their side of the board. In addition, 64 undifferentiated seeds are needed.

Omweso players play very fast, they know the game. Keep up the good work. Bao Electronic Board Game in Apple App Store may be played equally fast. Bao Electronic Board Game has released free software updates in Apple App Store; that upgrades Bao game to version 2.0.1 with inbuilt "Learn" mode. It makes it very easy to learn and play Bao game.

Great video, thanks for posting. There is a great you tube video explaining how to play this game by "Thomas Elfgren" if any one is interested. It is not just the speed of the hand, it is the speed with which they calculate their next move. Brilliant.

Looks like a normal game of Omweso to me. Normal speed. Watch a game of Bao, Igisoro, Oware, or тоғыз құмалақ. It's just like watching Backgammon players play at normal speed without counting each space as they go. If you know the rules to the game, then it makes a lot more sense; otherwise, it's just guys pushing some seeds around a board. Excellent video, though. :-)

1:29 the upper player skipped his turn?

He has 3 seconds to play. The referee counts “omu”, “ebiri” and if the move doesn’t start the other player can take the turn.

Bao è molto più complicato. Questo è come Moruba (il mancala giocato in Sudafrica), la differenza sta nelle prese: qui le riciclano nel gioco, a Moruba (o Maruba) si prendono e si tirano fuori dal tavoliere.
