I think the anchor felt bad when Arundhati said that she won't deify Mandela. Probably that's why she interrupted & ended the interview.

The interviewer shotguns questions, while AR responds with answers too deep to move from the problem. Maybe I'm miscalculating the issue, but AR could inhabit any physical body, and see the place of brevity of it's truth. A good soul is the smallest mouth eternity would venture to speak. AR is talking the geopolitical physics of life and death, and being insulted by 10 minutes of modernity traveling at the speed of war. Yet, she is wrapped in the armor of a polite smile. Awe inspiring!

This looks like a highly edited version of the interview. Interviewer just jumping from 1 question to the other. It just gives u a shallow understanding of what is there in the interviewees mind.

A writer almost always have to be anti capitalist. The majority of her income come from sheer number of people. Same with anyone selling to the masses. You dont have to be right , you just have to appeal to the largest block of the population.

we are brothers and sisters, does not matter we are hindus, muslims, sikh, issai, buddhist still we are all Indus wasi and all brothers and sisters, we cannot identify ourselves as hindus cause hindu is a forign word not even mentioned in vedas aur bhagwad geeta, the word hindu was given by our islamic captors and attackers from the west. Irrespective of which religion we want to practice it is a private matter but we are all products of Indus valley. I want you to listen to what I say today with an open mind and digest this and a part of history, just because we had a violent history with a lot of corruption does not mean we need to live in animosity and hatred for the rest of our lives. The people with vested interest have used hatred to poison our minds against each other. We need to be brave to acknowledge facts and not fall into the same trap that our forefathers were exposed to. For this we must first know the real facts and then learn to move forward with universal brotherhood. I say this cause unlike what many of you have told religion was made of universal brotherhood but it was hijacked along the line, due to rich people who wanted to control people and hold on to the power. Irrespective of your religion there are corruptions and you have become a pawn in the hands of few powerful people, nothing more. Hindus should know the fact that we remember ourselves as followers of hindus is enough evidence that there is corruption in our religious facts. Our religion is not hindu but Sanatan Dharma and Sanatan Dharma is not even a religion it is a green practice which explains preservance of earth and our duties (karma) as a human being. The Mughals who ruled India were the exact same people who first attacked and killed Arabs and after conversion to Islam were diverted to hindustan. The rule of the moghals was brutal and no different from the ISIS we know today, the hindus were afraid to teach their own religion to their children for fear that they will be killed, kidnaped or raped. 1000 years of disconnect from own religion is long time for superstitions to be introduced, when the mughal went the British corrupted the vedic scripts using the Germans. Today sanskrit is more studied in Germany then in India. And to the muslims of Indian, Pakistani and Bengali descendants I want to say with sadness you are our brothers and sister who were victims of rapes and forcefully converted by arabs and mongol invaders, some of you infact agreed to convert out of fear and due to rewards. But your faith is least of my worry, so long that you understand the difference between the preachings of prophet Mohammed vs corrutions introduced subsequent to his death. Infact I want to assure there is no conflict between preachings of prophet Mohammed and that of vedic ways of sanatan dharma followers. Infact Prophet Muhammad declared, “There was a prophet of God in Hindustan who is dark in color and his name was Kahan [Krishna]” (History of Hamadan Dailmi Chapter Al-Kaaf). Some critics allege this is not a Sahih (authentic) hadith, and while their assessment could be valid, their conclusion that the hadith should be discarded is invalid. Basic Islamic jurisprudence holds that if a hadith does not contradict the Quran, then it may be accepted as valid. Islamist deny this important hadith which was written 1000s of years ago, which shows unity of all religions, including christianisty and buddhism. People with vested interest want to retain power hence want to deny. I whole heartedly believe that we are all children of one allah also called iswar, prabhu, god, yhwe (pronounced as yahweh), allohem and by many other names. And I will share show corruption started. Those like me who have read the full text of prophet mohammed last sermon will understand prophet Mohammed asked his followers to follow Ahl Bayt, his family members, he asked you to give the same respect you gave to him to Imam Ali his son-in-law. Infact many of you know nowhere islamic hadith or quran can be found that prophet Mohammed nominated the Abu Bakr as the 1st caliph of Islam, so when Abu Bakr forced himself as the 1st caliph with the help of second caliph Omar, they betrayed the wishes of prophet Mohammed. Infact it is also covered in both Sunni and Shia Hadith catagorically Abu Bakr sent sent Umar to Fatima and Ali to ensure they support him as 1st caliph, but Fatima was so angry that she refused to see Abu Bakr face till death and she asked Ali not to even invite Abu Bakr to her funeral. Caliph Umar who had supported Abu Bakr even burned Fatima house and cause miscarriage of Fatima. Everyone knows Ahl Bayt was persecuted in Arabia and had to flee in desperation, without going to much details I want to say even much of what muslims are being told is corruption of the caliphate. Prophet mohammed clearly said not to collect taxes, where as Caliphate Uthman was killed by the Muslims of Alexandria killed him because he placed a non-muslim Ummayad cousins to collect taxes from them. One of the non-muslim Ummayyad cousin - Muawiyah b. Abu Sufyan. Let us not forget Caliph Uthman was also himself a convert muslim from a very rich Ummayyad and rich background. This is the same man caliph Uthman himself said that all the people who knew Quran by heart have died in wars so 110-130 years after prophet Mohammed death asked the Quran to be rewritten. He called upon people to provide their memories of prophet mohammed which were collected in scribes, but these original scribes burned later. We all know prophets family family faced persecution and Imam Ali was killed and then Imam Hussain was forced to secretly send his family and companions to Hindustan, but when he himself was on the way to hindustan he was killed on the way in Karbala. Hussaini Brahmins still exist and they are found leading Muharram for centuries proves connection between Hindus and Imam Hussain. Today I will share few fact which will highlight how foreign vested powers with the help of our so called leaders, cheated both the People of Pakistan and Indian during Partition. Hatred was harnessed as a tool to acheive the desired outcome. But before I come to that I have a lot of things to share with you. During the 1946 Provincial Elections held in India under the British. Muslim League under Jinnah only got about 27% of Muslim Votes. That is right. Yet if you look at the 1937 elections Jinnah could not even win 1 seat, only this time they created reserved provinces where hindus could not vote in reserved muslims provinces hence gauranteeing victory to them. Thanks to British modified election rules, AIML finally managed to augment itself as India’s largest Muslim party. It also did well in two other Muslim majority provinces. It won 113 (out of 230) seats in the Bengal and 27 (out of 60) in Sindh. So, ML could not form a govt in NWFP, and Balochistan was never a province but was annexed by Jinnah from Nawab of Kalat after independence. The only place it had a decisive majority was Bengal which has now seceded as Bangladesh. Except for Punjab which was in favor of creation Pakistan no other state voted for AIML hence this is why major parts of Punjab and Bengal went to Pakistan. Or let us put it this way that British had achieved what they had planned out of the 1947 provisional elections by using the muslim votes in provinces reserved for muslims. Muslim League managed to win all the 30 seats reserved for the Muslims that means Islamist parties got no votes how is this possible unless it was rigged by british. The results of the provincial election held in early 1946 were not different. Congress won most of the non-Muslim seats while Muslim League captured approximately 95 percent of the Muslim seats. Another important point to note 95% muslims voted to create pakistan. If that was the case then why did they stay back in India then after 1947 if they voted their choice. If they stayed back India then why did Nehru make a secular constitution when it was already clear from before the partition was to divide hindustan based on religion, ie Pakistan for Muslims and India for Hindus. What was the pupose of this excercise. In my view nothing more then British design to stop communist Russian advances to connect with India so they created a buffer state which can be managed by British and Americans in the form of Pakistan. Jinnah took money from British after which he changed his strategy to create separate Pakistan. How Jinnah self proclaimed himself as governor general without any electoral process due to faithfulness to British he was obliged. Not only people of Pakistan but also people of India were cheated there many conspiracies, including conspiracy of Nehru. Uneducated masses of Hindustan where ignorant till today they dont know any facts they only believe what they were made to believe. People of both countries have not been told that British created two dominion states which is not same as two independent countries. It is well known fact the congress committee had elected Sardar Patel as the PM of India, yet Gandhi owing to the preasure from British asked Sardar Patel to step down from PM candidature and he oblidged Gandhi giving way to Nehru. In the end Pakistan got a ex-Hindu, pork eating, alcohol drinking Jinnah as governor General and India got a ex-muslim, Beef eater as PM of India both agents of the British, followed British Interest.

Pity the interviewer just popped one question after another, without engaging Arundhati Roy in conversation, to expound on her erudite responses.

The most hated person in India is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Prime Minister Modi's drill masters part of various branches of the tree having roots of fascism, bigotry, hatred, extremism, intolerance killed Gandhi in cold blood. What!! 80% of people are living with less than 20rs a day. It is not true. Even according to Tendulkar committee and Rangarajan committee it did not cross 30%. However I believe more will be there when compared to multidimensional poverty

I don't know but what I think is going on in India is something similiar to what happenned in China during den xiaoping's revolution and in Russia during Stalin's regime.....Old cultural world pf peasants and farmers coming to terms with modernity and city life.....But India gets a bad name as always because there is inertia in western thoughts about India...because its always been negative...I am a dalit and my motherland gives me so much that I am proud of it....there are many struggles going on and I am not saying India is perfect....But IT WILL be third largest economy no matter what......I feel racim in western world against Indians more worrying as compared to Casteism against Indians inside India because at least we do have positive discrimination laws to fight against them but in West u just have to bear it....Sad but True :(
