Find that 18 year old and show him what they said, you do what you must to stay alive, when one of yours is taken consider that the enemy knows you, it's then up to you to stay alive and keep going. Great job Richard.

He will. Give these folks credit eh? Painting them as poor victims isn’t helpful, they surely don’t want your pity! 🤦🏼‍♂️ Veteran here, a strong social network of support (and from the government) can are all the difference when it comes to trauma and pTSD, and from the way Ukrainians have been handling their vets so far, they seem to get it right! Richard Engel, thank you from my Ukrainian heart for this documentary and for showing the world what Ukrainians are going through. And thank you to all the people who took their time and watched it. As long as the rest of the world is watching, remembering, and helping - Ukraine is standing and fighting back. I moved to Canada a long time ago and I know that many western taxpayers are annoyed and angry because their governments help Ukraine. And I am thankful to those others who understand why we need to help. You can not be a democratic country halfway and this is what happens when you tolerate and trade with dictatorships like Russia. Well, it’s happening to women, and trans people (especially vulnerable trans and intersex kids) who are having their basic human rights stripped including basic health care and bodily autonomy right in the US since hundreds of anti-trans bills are weaving their way through your legislatures across the country. Corpses are afforded more bodily autonomy SMH in muhhh-rica. While y’know, actually progressive and forward thinking countries are codifying the rights of these groups to protect them, so they can’t be used as political pawns to stir hatred. And this is not meant by any means to minimize the absolute horrors and inhumane situation in Ukraine 🇺🇦, far from it. They know a thing about genocide though. And the anti-trans rhetoric is truly bordering on genocide, if these bills pass. Women will die, from back alley abortions (entirely preventable) and trans kids will die from being denied life-saving health care. So.

This brought a tear to my eye. I'm happy for the Ukraines. Thinking of the 17 year old lad. When my father was in the Dutch underground, everything was compartmentalised. He only knew 3 or 4 other members. He was taught if captured, everyone talks when tortured. He was expected to hold out 24 hours. That should give the people in his cell time to leave. I think someone in his cell got caught. He left with the idea of going to Spain. There was a chain of people who would help him and pass him along. At some point the chain was broken and he had to find his own was. The French caught him and handed him to the Germans. He ended up in Buchenwald. Since I'm writing this, he obviously survived the war.

These people were incredibly brave! Even the guy who "broke" held out as long as humanly possible. Even people who have training to prepare for torture don't always survive it. This was an important video and I hope more Americans - especially those in our Congress who are Putin supporters - will see it. The people of Ukraine have proven their courage and resiliance with such a terrible invasion. Slava Ukraini.

Wow! Astonishing! This is beautiful. Natasha, Vlad, and Mykhailo are the epitome of of the best human values. Their bravery, sacrifice, and ingenuity is something to admire. This is the prime example of not asking “why did this happen to me” but finding the strength and courage to confront what has occurred. I love the fact that Vlads mother was a resistance fighter as well. Don’t worry Natasha, I was crying too 😊.The Ukrainian government must interview people like them and gather their knowledge and experience to train future underground resistance fighters. russias greatest mistake was sending slaves to subjugate a free and courageous people. I just wanted to give Nastya a giant hug and let her get out her tears! Crying is incredibly cathartic and we NEED to do it in order to relieve that emotional stress buildup. She is a hero and I loved her comment about being given an Oscar 😂 but Nastya as an American I believe you have MORE than earned the right to cry without any judgement. Especially from those who don’t understand the gravity of what you’ve gone through. 🇺🇦♥️🇺🇸

Not to forget vlads mom who he found out was also helping the Ukrainian army..! As deeply touching as this was. I’m not too optimistic. Russians pull out, reassemble and come back and now these guys faces are everywhere. I’m worried for them now. I mean the guy poisoned people much farther than Ukraine, literally in Britain. They have loooong memory… There is a reason why I haven’t been back since we left in the 90s and took my family two generations for me to find out my grandad was murdered. All my medical history says, I have heart attack history in my family. Anyways, too early to be happy. But I very much hope 😔

I'm an American living in Kherson. Good report, thank you. Our partizans, TDF, and of course AFU troops are all heroes that played a huge role in freeing the city from terrorist invaders. Everyone I know was helping AFU in the way that they could. At a minimum, giving locations of the enemy invaders to AFU. I escaped in April, through the front lines and ru block posts, as it was extremely dangerous for an American to be there. But many friends survived there for the full 8.5 months of the nightmare. I'm 100% confident all the terrorists on the left bank, who are now shelling the city and murdering civilians on a daily basis, will also be removed from Ukrainian land. Glory to Ukraine, glory to the heroes 🇺🇦.

@@AspectStudio It's actually a very strong argument. I lived in Europe and all over the USA. The mentality in America is very much one that would dump all these stupid domestic political fights and stand side by side against any potential invader. Every city, every town, every village, every home would defend itself. If you don't have a gun, you'd get one or two and fight to the death defending the freedom we enjoy here.

I agree with everything in this reply thread. Unfortunately our freedoms will be taken not from an outside force but from within. It already came very close on January 6th, 2022. This country will fall and it will be neighbor vs neighbor, city vs city, state vs state. I hate saying this cause this country truly could be a beautiful place like the writer's of the constitution envisioned. 🇺🇦🇺🇲
