Great video. I was also following your articles on Jalopnik. Pretty awesome to see the results. I can't wait to see how much time you can shave off next year with a year of refinement and all of the cooling issues sorted out.

A whole bunch of fun. It's been a long time (the last time I drove this, it was 2/3 dirt road to the top. Wondered how a "Vette" was going to handle that.) Now I remember why I couldn't hope to drive this race. Thank so much for the awesome story.

Great run Robb! I've been following your build and prep over on Jalopnik; great articles. My god, the course up near the top looks bumpier than ever. Its nice that you can see the speedometer, really gives the viewer a sense of just how much pull that Vette has, and the cornering speeds. Well done.

It's crazy how slow your car can feel at these altitudes (14,114′ at the top)...I drove up to the top of Pike's Peak in my stock 98' Integra LS and it felt incredibly slow. This Corvette didn't seem to suffer from that problem.

Car with Forced induction (I am assuming that this car kept its supercharger) do not suffer nearly as much as normally aspirated cars at altitude where the air is thinner.

not sure how you can not like a c7 they are literally the best car you can buy for the money. most performance per dollar spent you can get, nothing really comes close actually for the money.

+Twobarpsi They stopped making Cavaliers in 2005 the original wheel wasn't off a Cavalier Einstein... Rules call for a quick release wheel and he took this one off his other race car. It's not an "upgrade."

To help with the cooling look into a company called activeinterchiller, I believe they make kits for the blowers on these cars to seriously cool down the intake temps. Gotta run it with a electric compressor so it is actively cooling the entire time tho.

Its a stock ECU which kills power when you use the brake and gas at the same time.

That only happens in rally, where there's multiple stages to be completed and no ability to memorize each course, so they have a co-driver so they don't have to. With hill-climb, it's only one stage of ten minutes average, and instead of shakedowns (parts of stages) they get practice runs (the full course). Therefore they get a chance to memorize the course. Plus, a co-driver is extra weight.
