Great review Lars. I agree with you about the grip on wet hard ground. My pair is unusable here in the wet Irish climate. I wanted to love them, as the fit is exquisite, but the lack of grip is actually dangerous. If only I lived in California running those dry hard packed buffed out trails...
Yes Brian! I wore them for a race yesterday, and they were great. It was mostly gravel and gras. Perfect. But rocky terrain isn’t a place I will explore in these shoes.

Hey John, I totally agree with you, I am a rock climber and I would never used this shoe for climbing. But remember that trails can be a lot of different things. Trails doesn't just mean forrest and mud, it can be rocky terrain in the mountains or cliffs by the sea.. If you travel to the alps then you will run on rocky terrain, so it's nice to actually know if a shoe is performing both in dry and wet conditions. Hope you are having a great day! Lars
@@RunningXpert hmm, I tried not to love these, I much prefer the colourways of speedgoats and Salomon, the concept of inov8, but when it comes down to it I keep coming back to these, I have done 30k on tarmac in them with comfort, I have run trail stretches in (as opposed to across) rivers, I have done the Yorkshire Three Peaks with blizzard conditions on the scramble sections. If I was running exclusively in soft mud or snow I would probably go with my inov8, but otherwise if it is part trail I just keep coming back to the cloudultra
