Same! Was completely unfamiliar with postmil. Grew up with premillennialism dispensationalism and left behind series. Hearing it was like having a light bulb go off. So much that didn’t make sense in the Bible just absolutely fell into place like a perfect puzzle piece. Coming to understand the doctrines of grace and covenantal theology along with postmil eschatology reveals God for who He is-the absolute master storyteller.

Do a study on where, when, and how "Rapture Theory" got started in the first place. The so-called end-times verses are way out of context with the whole of scripture.

Amen!!! I abandoned my dispy beliefs long before becoming postmil because it just couldn’t squeeze all those ideas into scripture. Then I listened to Jeff Durbin’s Matthew 24 sermons and my eyes were finally opened to what the scriptures actually said. ❤️

Please revisit your position. This video is repackaged dominionism. It’s an age old heresy. He tries to make the case for post-millennialism by attacking another heresy of dispensationalism. Both are missing the truth and plain reading of the Bible. There are so many logical contradictions with this video, it is migraine inducing. God is not the author of confusion. When he says Jesus will return and reign for 1000 years before the kingdom is turned over to the Father it’s meant to be just that. Yes His kingdom began at Pentecost but that’s not the end of the story. Pentecost began the spread of the kingdom to all nations. The church will be persecuted and conquered on earth when that mission is complete and we are resurrected when Jesus returns to reign with Him and bring everything under His subjection before He turns the Kingdom over to the Father at the end of the millennium when the heavenly city descends to earth. We never establish a theocracy without Christ physically present. This is so dangerous and is right out of satans playbook to deceive. It will be the Spanish Inquisition and persecution from the false church all over again. This time for the last time till He returns. They twist so many passages of scripture in this video I’m baffled how nobody notices it.

Seriously though, I would encourage you to try reading the scripture leaving your traditions behind. Once you do that they will blow your mind! If you interpret the scriptures through your man made traditions, you are treating them the same as the Catholics do.

To really cement the Post-mill viewpoint, I highly recommend the book, "Paradise Restored" by David Chilton. @@jeff7888 I did, and wrestled with both views for quite a while. A mill has much in common with Post and they both make more sense than Premill Dispensationalism to me. In the end I do believe Post mill fits best with the way I read scripture. My biggest objection with Post mil wasn't from scripture. It was from my observation that things seemed to be getting worse. Then I realized that is what got Israel in trouble and had to wander in the desert 40 years. They were trusting what they saw, Giants in the land instead of what God said. Could it be things are getting worse because we aren't trusting Him?

@@kevinhocker6140 The Bible says it will be as in the day of Noah. According to the Bible things are carrying on as always. Wars and earth quakes, etc etc. The Lord will put an end to this when He comes back at the end. John 5:28-29. The judgement will take place, and there will be a new heavens and earth where we will spend eternity with the Lord.

@@kevinhocker6140 A mill do not teach universal salvation for the nation's, that Christ shed His blood for the literal nations. That is another gospel. It does not come down to what people would say, that great men of the past taught post mill. It's what the Bible teaches that matters. Acts 17:10-11. 2sd Timothy 3:16-17.

Kevin, yes dispensationalism is a bad jigsaw puzzle, but the are proper, simple and scriptural forms of Pre-millennialism that make perfect sense. Read my comments above or ask me directly. Pre-millennialism just means Jesus has not returned yet but he is coming back to reform the world 1000 years before the end of time. That is clearly found in Rev 20 and blows a oe Post millenialism out of the water.All the other stuff Dispansationalist tack on is rubbish. Mat 24 says Jesus is coming back immediately after the Great Tribulation. Both Post millenialists and Dispensationalists call Jesus a liar on this point and are hence wrong. Have a Blessed day.

Indeed, my journey started when the world doesn't seem to fit the pessimistic view in absolute. Also many points in the scripture did not make any sense under the pessimistic view, all of that started to challenge my assumptions. The discovery of postmillennialism made finally feel that now I know for sure what the bible really teaches about the end of history and is indeed the best news of the entire world!

Exactly, thats what I see as well. Old Test scripture shines light on the New Test. The premill disp view is all literal & fantastical, when even the same symbolic apocalyptic imagery language was used in various Old Test books & Revelation is filled w/ it. Its not written to us but is for us, to apply to our lives. It woulda been bizarre for 7 churches to receive letters that are not about or to them but a 21st century future church, its really eisegetical not correct exegetical eschatology like I believe a partial preterist view uses. Another thing is the Author (Apostle John) woulda at least mentioned the destruction of temple if written in 95 A.D & if not about temple but future events, it was too important & catastrophic (million +dead), like writing about NY & not mentioning 9/11, plus & new age w/ sacrifice done away w/. Also have the measuring of temple which wouldnt happen if written in 95 A.D & already gone

@@joeincogno265 I think the main question here is : will there be a literal millennial reign of Christ on earth with those who believe in Him and/or accepted to die for His testimony? Revelation 19 ( beginning with verse 11) tells us Jesus is coming back to earth with His armies and is victorious against the beast, the false prophet and their remnant. Then Satan is bound for a thousand years in Revelation 20 and then martyrs are resurrected and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years, on earth. Now, are those thousand years to be taken literally or symbolicly? The Bible being the only tool we have to interpret it, we are stuck to the literal interpretation here. It is literally the only place the Bible talks about the millennial reign of Christ. Now, this is for those who think because Christ died on the cross for us, we don't need a physical temple to offer sacrifice to God, as Jesus is our priest. It is absolutely TRUE because God (invisible to our earthly eyes) is WITHIN us and everything happens by FAITH in our PRIEST(Jesus) who had justified us before God. But, during the millennial reign, guess what, God dwells among us : Jesus is literally among us, VISIBLE. Therefore, the process is different and a works process. It is not a matter of faith anymore. It is why priests are needed during this time (Rev 20:6). People will have to go to Jerusalem, to Zion, and there are sanctions for those who don't go. Please study the Bible with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Revelation is the only Book in the Bible where it is literally stated that a blessing is given to those who read, hear the words of the prophecy in it and keep what is written in the Book (Rev 1:3).

@@carl7842 The word "a thousand" in Revelation 20 is the Greek word "Chilioi" which can be used as a plural of uncertain affinity. In a book of symbols it is far more likely that it is symbolic.

I don't think that believing that the church will be successful in evangelizing the world (Postmillennialism) is a distraction from preaching the gospel. I believe it is very encouraging in that endeavor to understand the promises of God and that ultimately our work in the Lord will bear fruit that future generations will enjoy. And what about all the people that sold everything they owned because Harold Camping said Jesus was returning on May 16? I think we could all agree that a bad eschatology certainly 'mattered' in that case at least. Of course there are many wonderful christians doing great things for the Lord who have bad eschatologies and are being faithful despite those faulty understandings of the end times but that doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about these subjects and seek to be in line with what the Scriptures teach.
