The guy is a proper example of a real man , his respect for the aboriginal culture, was at the time this was filmed, rather rare for main stream white society in Australia. Hats off to a true blue Aussie

Every thur on the tube Les Hiddins made my week I had one day left to work. His insights his knowledge ,his diplomacy was the stuff of magic. He relates to the aborigines and they teach and accept him as one of their own that's what makes his information so valuable ,he could do it all on his own but the cooperation with the locals makes his knowledge all the much more valuable? This was the highlight of my week thanks Les !👍😎🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤🥂🍾cheers

Oh man… so happy I stumbled upon this. Born in ‘81 I watched this religiously. As an expat now, it reminds me of all that I love about Australia. Life in the outback can be so grand. I’m curious now though as to how his political correctness was regarding Aboriginal Australians. I find him humble and respectful in contrast to the times, but at the same time occasionally cringeworthy.
