Shaq's definition of dominant goes like this: Is the player me? If yes - dominant. If not me - not dominant.

This is my first time seeing a player get criticized for having a bag. In this modern era of basketball, players of all positions can make jumpers now. That’s just how the game evolved. Nevertheless, Shaq does not need to worry about his “most dominant big man” title because I think Wemby is not even thinking about snatching that away from him. Wemby’s potential is even greater than that. Anyways, most of Wemby’s buckets from last season was taken 5 feet away from the rim and he was amongst the top players in the league with the most dunks. Shaq probably just saw highlights of Wemby shooting near logo 3s and thought that that’s all Wemby does. I don’t think it’s wise to limit Wemby’s skills right now. He just finished his rookie season and he’s still working on his body and his physicality. The dominance will come with time and experience. It may not look like peak Shaq’s dominance, but Wemby’s dominance may be even greater. Imagine if he developed into a 3-level scorer. He’s gonna be an even more formidable player and would greatly helped his team.

Wembyanyama's biggest weakness could be an NBA corporate decision to ignore fouls committed against Wemby if he starts turning the game into a video game due to endless dunks fed by CP3.

Typical Shaq threatened by greatness. He has to try and bully someone or can't sleep well at night. How many players not even bigs that he attacks for no reason? Who cares what Charles or Shaq says.

Not that Shaq isn't a moron, but I think he's defining dominant as being a guy pushing people out of the way, bullying them. It's not that he's saying Vic won't be better, just not in line with his definition. Which to me is fair.
