I do the same in my Suburban. Radio wasn't working right and it started draining the battery really fast. Pulled the fuse, that fixed the battery drain, and got a cheap bluetooth speaker. Good enough for who it's for!

Yup. The springs aren't really rough, but make vibrations that tend to cause dash issues. I love me Freightliner air ride 😎

Out on the open road, it wasn't near as bad as I expected, but boy those few bumps can make that dash really take a beating!! I'm sure years of LTL slip seating didn't help either!! Thank you Mr Bryce!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸

@@brycewiborg8095 Very true Mr Bryce, my L 8000 was spring but had after market air ride. Other than dump trucks I don't have much experience OTR with spring ride. It was a learning curve, but those 4 brand new tires didn't help the "breaking in" period ..I'm sure you know exactly 😉😉

I was not a fan of seeing those wedge brakes myself, I remember some mechanics years back fussing about them! But all are new, so I can't complain to loud. 😁 I have that other parts truck, and according to a few measurements most of the holes will swap out and bolt in 🤞 But that may be a down the road project for sure 🤣🤣😅😅 I know EXACTLY what you mean, it doesn't take very many inches to drastically change turning radius over 30-50 ft 😉😉 It had been a while for sure since I had pulled a pivot that far back. 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you again Ed for always being here, I really appreciate that!! 👍👍😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸

It's a old straight 7 speed, the can be tricky to drive, but hopefully with no more than I use it we can get by. @@Pennies_on_the_dollar our FL70 ran Portland to Seattle every day. All concrete highway, pulling a 53' dryvan. Doors rattle.. got the dash screwed in good, but all the push together airlines leak. I like the old compression fittings a lot better!! Previous owner was breaking springs all the time, he put the air ride under it. He said an $85 air bag was an easy fix along the highway, the $285 spring pack a couple times a month, got really expensive.. and he couldn't do it by myself along the road..

@Pennies_on_the_dollar no power in the 89 kw 3406b was turbo boot had ripped, hole in (I call it a intercooler) the radiator looking thing lol., a broken spring in the air fuel Regulator, and the steel hose going to intake had a hole from chafing. We fix all those things and he has all 425/450hp out of it now. Alternatar for my boat 800-1200 😩

Man that was quite the ordeal, but sounds like it's a runner now for sure!!! Good lord that's expensive 😳😳😳😳😳😥😥😥

@Pennies_on_the_dollar oh and 4 broken exhaust manifold bolts.we fixed all of that and have all the power needed. The boat is what it is 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 Do some research and I bet you'll find that the problem is in the fuel air reg. It's on the driver's side on the aft side of fuel pump very cheap to fix your self like 50 bucks parts and 2 hours
