As a Daniel my name journey was Daniel as a young child then Danny in teens and then Dan in early 30's. Im looking forward to what I will be called in my 40's.
Had a dream about Danny where I met him at a theme park in line for a roller coaster. I nervously told him I was Greg, then he said “I’m your boss!” And then I did a salute to him as he got on the ride. Felt like a blessed experience ngl

This might sound weird but I honestly enjoy Danny's second chanel slightly more than his main one something about the laid back feel, interaction with Gregs, inside jokes that you have to watch every subreddit video to understand, and of course the sparkling water just make me feel like I'm apart of something special. these videos always make my day 10x better it's sad that so many Gregs are missing out on this

Definitely agree with the ie thing. I grew up in England and as a kid everyone called me Rosie but my real name is Rose. Rosie by itself is a name so it's interesting how this happens.

I have just realized that Danny's subreddit vids are special. Like whoever is continuing to watch every one that comes out will understand all the inside jokes. Like the subreddit vids have turned into something where you can't just skip around the different subreddit vids if you want to understand the newest vid. dude i don’t remember my full on dream..just the part where i saw him. i have no idea what i was doing or where i was.. i saw him and i think he didn’t even have a body just his head and neck so i screamed “HOLY SHIT” i then realized that i was dreaming and was sucked out of it
the only marathon i ever did was a charity run for a local theatre i was involved with. i was pretty young so my mom went with me, and my number was 2. i told her "i don't wanna be number 2!!!" so we swapped numbers... eventually i took the race really seriously and finished quite a few places ahead of my mom. but our numbers were swapped, so on the official result page it said i took way longer than her. moral of the story: accept that you are number 2
It makes sense that danny appears in peoples dreams so much. I think many people watch commentary videos like danny's as they fall asleep so people end up sleeping while hearing danny's voice in the backround.

Gouache is like watercolor but with more opacity, like it has the coverage of acrylic but it's water based with a more matte finish, it's good for very even color blocking. Take that Danny.
I've used it before, it's really difficult to work with, but it is really fun and can be really satisfying. But it's way too hard for me, I suck at painting lol

I don't need to know this. so much unnecessary information taking up space in our brains. now that we can just google anything and find out everything instantaneously instead of the old days going to a library tracking down a book and then finding that bit of info within that book. Congrats on your first half! Honestly, it kind of sucks that people focused on your name, rather than your time/race overall. Also, I think most people's running photos come out like that... I've never ran a half marathon, though I run 5Ks for XC, and everyone always looks dead, or at least in pain, when they're photographed. Fun stuff. Edit: "goo-ash" is killing meee. Oof.
I run xc and track as well and everyone is always telling me I got sunburned after runs but I always just get really red and then I cool down and my face goes back to normal and I've never seen this happen to anyone else so is it just me?
As an artist, hearing Danny pronounce gouache like goo-ash is the highlight of my day. I feel like so few people know what it is despite being one of the most unique and versatile mediums out there. (it usually rhymes with squash)
Gouache is a word my brain refuses to acknowledge. I love watching videos of people opening and organizing those little sets of paint pots, but I must have googled it over a dozen times and couldn't say it right if someone paid me.
i thought gouache was the most common paint out there! we weren't allowed to paint with acrylic in school because of the staining, so i had always painted with gouache until i started doing art independently
I MADE THE PORTRAIT OF DANNY KURTIS AND DREW! I didn’t paint the original painting’s bodies or backgrounds. I photoshop the faces onto the bodies and manually blend them and add makeup, then I add the necklaces or whatever props, then edit in a separate program to give it a cohesive paint style.
With the phone thing, when I was young I had a reoccurring dream in which I brought my father's phone to school and proceeded to lose it halfway through the day. I would wake up and think that I actually did this and then cry because I didn't want to get in trouble. I still get this dream occasionally as a teenager.

Gouache is basically watercolor but more pigmented and opaque. Many artists love to use it because it gives that opaque and Matt finish to the painting. Hope I helped

My mom is 62 and she got into running a few years ago. She's done lots of 5ks, 10ks, and a few half marathons so far. She usually gets pretty good times and even came in first place in her age group once or twice. She had special t-shirts made for my dad and I that say "support team" and we've been to a lot of her races to cheer her on. Ever since COVID though, I don't feel comfortable being in large groups of people anymore. I'm glad you and your wife are into races, because most of them help support a lot of really good charities.
