You can see the pride in Max’ face when he gives Daniel the present.. on the other hand you see insecurity “is he going to like this present?” That is a side you don’t often see from Max.
Dan is the man, I will miss seeing his banter with Max. They're my favourite duo in F1 every personality wise. After these lads retire they need to make a TV show. Sad day for Redbull supporters but good luck to Ricciardo!
Red Wolf Hulk is a brilliant driver so I have no doubt I’ll like that duo as well. Renault can expect good things next season. They have two very entertaining drivers who are fantastic on the road as well now!
Yeah they’re close friends, I think in the context of racing they’re just two incredibly competitive athletes. They were also on the same team, being in the same cars, which made them rivals in a way.
Max couldn't of had a better teammate to start of his F1 career than Daniel. These two were so iconic and I'm so glad they stayed so close even now. Miss them in the same team tho
I think Daniel was holding so hard that he was so emotional inside but didn’t wanna cry in front of cameras so he kept changing topics. Red bull means so much to him.
Daniel is probably the only one who can pull off that "I thought I was the idiot/the most immature one in the room, there's always one more" joke on Max!
Look on track is one thing but I’m sure off track they’ll miss each others company. Like they said here once this all done and behind them they’ll probably be friends in retirement.
Actually, there's an interview to Dan, after he moved to Renault, and he spoke about the issue. They were good team mates, and sure they had fun outside the track, and he said that he expected to build a relationship with him. But like you said, in the documentary is shown a more competitive part of their relationship. Also, there's a picture of Dan greeting Max after he won the Austrian Grand Prix. If you hate that person, you wouldn't waste your time congratulating him after he beats you.

if you watch other past RB interviews with these duo, you'd know that they have mentioned about this several times where they would always ignore Helmut's calls as he likes to call in very early in the morning.. No filter at all.
Watching this at the end of the 2022 season, I realise that Max is so chill and happy around Daniel and that he laughs the most around Daniel. Daniel has a very good influence on him, hopefully him going back as a rb reserve can help max be less tense!

I started watching F1 because of Dan. I remember him winning in Monaco and hearing the words "it's redemption day for Daniel Ricciardo!" ringing on every highlight reel. I'm gonna miss him in a Red Bull suit, but here's to a new chapter! All the best Dan!

i got into f1 from the netflix show and it sucks how they make it seem as if they don’t get on and like really dislike each other but watching all these videos it’s clearly not the case and i’m really glad
In 21 years I'll return to this video with a big nostalgic grin on my face. Gonna miss seeing these two work together but I'm so glad they ended their career as team mates in such as positive and friendly manner - something rare in competitive teams where both drivers want to show that they're number one.
well actually thank you for making me happy. Hulk definitely has great banter and RenaultSport are the memest of the F1 teams. The comedy won't die. Plus, I bet Hulk having Ricc as a teammate will force him to make the effort required to see him get his long deserved first fucking podium trophy. Unless Renault ends up sucking as a team and killing Daniel's good mood.
These two are what F1 needs more of... Lewis is a great driver but i literally switch off whenever he is about to be interviewed. These guys, pure fun. Great stuff.

im starting to make a regular rewatch every two weeks of all of this series between them. i just love them so damn much... ive only entered a year ago(right before daniel won) and I WISH i could return back time to see these guys on the same team
RBR and Renault should be bury there fight and next year put them on a couch in bleu and yellow suite and together make a show, for both teams win win...

My crying is literally getting worst and worst every time Daniel takes a deep breath, like i don't know what he actually feels, but to me it's like he's holding back his emotions so he doesn't cry like I do.

End of an era. Going to miss this pairing. Important to be happy it happened, though. Here's to the last 3 years of Daniel and Max and the last 5 years with Daniel at Red Bull.
Ah man, definitely the two best team mates in the history of F1. I will miss them as a duo. Hopefully, in the future, they will be reunited once again.
I'm from Dublin IRELAND and this type of thing is why I'm a big fan of RedBull F1 team. You never see other F1 teams and driver's doing thing's like this just having fun.
