Hey Colin. Here's an idea. Do a street walk of Handsworth and have an interview with Mr. Handsworth (Hector) himself! Maybe recall some of the historic things that have happened and iconic names who have hailed from that area of Birmingham. Just an idea.
hi smiler this is mr michael barrett im living in southern ireland me and my family left nechells in october 1980 44 yrs ago i havent been back since can you film around melvina rd ./littlehall rd/duddeston manor rd/ we lived in south tower 1967-1973/home tower 1973-1974/the masonettes on little hall rd 1974-1980 i attended st vincents rc school 1967-1973/duddeston manor 1973-1978 i worked at sj clarks /mmr enginereering ltd adderley road does anyone know me we used too play football /cricket on the big green by duddeston manor rd thanks

Thanks for that smiler. My memories of Nechells date back to the 50s and 60s I lived at 362 Nechells Park Road. I spent most of my time in Nechells baths. My parents were one of the fist to move to Victor Tower flats. My grandmother and later my mother had the second hand shop opposite the Co-op. Life was good then. No television or telephone. I can't remember staying indoors much. My name back then was Patty Taylor. Anyone out there remember me?
