On the way to the Holy Land 

Sir Gerold and Aelred are on the way to reclaim Jerusalem in 1190, after it was captured by Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub in 1187. The Sultan of Egypt and Syria, he is known too as Saladin. Wish them luck! (Or not, if you are Saracen) The Third Crusade changed the world, and the way crusading would be done in the future. Arguably, it was one of the most important of the crusades, perhaps second the the First Crusade.
The outfits are my old Knights Templar, the protectors of pilgrims, and the pilgrim himself, not to be confused with Franciscan habit, only coming about in the early 13th century...
