I need to give this a try! My brain automatically starts doing the math while I watch (but then I grabbed a calculator). The avg resource points per turn assuming a fair die is 2.16, and it looks like through turn 9 you are running at 2.67 with good overall luck, but by turn 14 you have tumbled down to 2.07! From a game design perspective, I proably would have made the resource roll based on 2d6 and tweaked the distribution. Maybe something like this: 2-5 = 1 RP, 6-7 = 2 RP, 8-9 = 3 RP, 10-12 = 4 RP; one RP would be less likely, two RP slightly less likely, three RP more likely, and 4 RP same chance as before. This would give an average of 2.30 RP per turn.
Hi Mike, interesting idea. I would need to play it more to get a feel for the math, but first thoughts based on your idea would be use a d8, or adjust the game lever dealing with reinforcements (DRM’s)
@@HissyCat, many different ways to potentially adjust the system/balance, and I personally would play the game at least a couple times before I would make any changes. But my mind can't resist thinking about the possibilities. 🤓
Apparently the 1 resource is an ongoing thing I've been seeing. Is Cabby ( lol ) a long haired Siamese? I have to lock my cat out of the room as she gets jealous of the computer.
Hi Tim, thanks for stopping by. 1 resource makes things rough....lol Both Shabby and Cabby are Seal Point Siamese, both rescues. Cabby is more of a mix thus the white markings. What kind of cat do you have?
@@HissyCat She's a mix between a grey striped tabby and a tuxedo type. She's a bit of a brat lol. She is also a rescue. My daughter and son-in-law have her rescue partner. We took two at the same time also. If I don't have a pet around I go nutso. Plus, no pests. Yes, I've watched others have issues with rolling just one resource on this same game. Stalingrad seems hard to even get close to in this one.
@@HissyCat played one game I think I had two fours couple twos and all the rest were one resource The Germans were pretty well screwed by turns 11 or 12 iirc
