When I watch a half hour video about the best solo table top games - I LOVE hearing some guy constantly talking about how he doesn't like solo gaming. REALLY USEFUL!
This was never meant to be a stand-alone top three. It is actually part of a bigger show we host. However, the team thought it would be great to add this as a top 3 video. I apologize if I offended anyone as it is just my opinion on the subject. However, this was not the intention to belittle or make someone feel bad about playing solo. I would love everyone to enjoy gaming on their own terms however that may be. Again just my thought on the matter as this was never recorded or intended to be just a top three video and was edited from a bigger project that focuses on all board games.
@@vossmediaboardgamecafe You missed the point of my comment. It's not offensive. It's just useless and annoying. People are tuning in for solo game recommendations. Then 1/3+ of the video is some guy talking about how he doesn't like solo board games. Imagine clicking on a RU-vid video, hoping to get solid jazz album recommendations, only to discover that 1/3+ of the video are opinions of some guy who doesn't even like jazz music.
@@nottiredofwinning3736 Not missing your point, just explaining that this video is an edit of a larger video and this person was caught off guard with this topic if this person knew they were doing a top 3 solo game review they would have excused themself from this clip as they do not play solo games. So I am apologizing that editing got this one wrong and I am also not disagreeing with you that this could have been done better.
Solo board games sometimes are a completely different experience than multiplayer board games. Also solo video games are a completely different experience than solo board games. If Deon tries board games designed for solo (like Mage Knight or DVG solo games for example) maybe he will play more solo).
I started out with multiplayer board games, Monopoly, Sorry, Clue. Then, on to computer solo games, but when exposed to on-line multi-player games, never went back.
Top 3 solo, Everdell, Scythe, wingspan. Stonemeier Automa is pretty solid most the time, but man I hate agreeing with Deon, I would rather flick a switch and play vs ai on a console or computer
The title of the video contains "top solo games" - so you know who will click on. Why have someone on the panel who doesn't enjoy solo (and continues to shit on the solo experience throughout)? Maybe he could've sat this one out. Someone so socially dependent should just do videos on multiplayer/party games.

"Tell us about the best solo board games in the world!" "I don't play them, I have better things to do with my time, I play board games with other people". "Oh, cheers."
Actually I think it is valid to have someone who does not usually play solo games opinion as it represents more people. You have two guys who enjoy solo games and one that does not.
I just watch these types of videos to confirm I made the right purchases 😂😂😂 and I have (yet again😂). Only one I don’t have is Turing Machine. Solo boardgames FTW!
Was there a reason for putting the “I don’t play solo games” guy on the panel for best solo games video? made me stop watching. Something to think about if you try this again

No offense to the guy in the middle, but don’t get on the same soapbox more than once per video. It get obnoxious, especially to someone like me who selected this video because I like solo games.
Some good suggestions here but didn't enjoy the vitriol around solo play for people who don't have friends. Who needs to hear someone riff about how they think social multiplayer is the only good choice during every pick, especially when its a solo list? My suggestion, say your peice once and carry on. Yeah you have freedom of speech but it just makes you sound like you believe your better than solo players. Why not try a range of solo games so you have a wider list of options. I love solo play and multilayer and choose to play solo often just due to ease of scheduling. Yes setup can be a chore but the payoff can be equally good... maybe not for all your team but again no need to belittle for no reason.
