I sure as heck do not envy you having to pay out for all the work you are having done. But and it is a big but, the top quality of the work Chris is carrying out makes every dollar it’s costing you very worthwhile. He’s a craftsman, no messing.
You have made a very good choice getting Chris to use his equipment clearing out around you Duck 🦆 Ponds and even Mike of Dirt Perfect and Chris is The Very Best At their Jobs that they sat out to accomplish !
Nice seeing your view of the pond /lake build, with the duck pond drainage fixed, when that field dries out you got a job to be a “Brush Cammando” on it. I was wondering when a long reach excavator would show up.
That small building would make a good fishin shack, keep rod and reels, tackle, nets etc. once the fishery is established you can have people pay to fish. maybe build another cabin.
People have been mentioning the 5 acre BamaBass built - you got 10 acres & LD18 for a 1/10th of the price (+ all the details!) - Chris always goes the extra mile for a friend!
What purpose does the serve anyway, Brian? Unless it’s the property line? If he takes it down, you probably won’t be putting it back anytime soon! If Chris is repairing the dam then you know it’s not going to leak! Thanks for sharing Brian and I’ll see you in the next one my friend! Everything looks like you have your own piece of Paradise brother! Yeah he was bragging on that pile of clay and was hoping that he would have enough to get the dam finished and up to grade! Thanks brother! Sending prayers and positive energy to you and your family! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻💯💯💯
21:09 looks like it might be big enough for a fox den. Red Fox that is. Around these parts (So. NYS), a cute little pond like that would be called a Koi pond. It's rumored that about 6 miles up the road from me that Yoko Ono has a Koi pond where she raises them for sale. Might be why tiny ponds are quick to be referred to as Koi Ponds.
Your property really is very interesting and if you are thinking 🤔 about getting some kind of live stock put up a 6 foot Hog wire type of A fence and run you a water line out to your pig pin area to a watering container and also put about 6 or 8 🐐 as well as 5 or 6 Pig's in the same fenced in area for your live stock and they will eat Down All of the underbrush and Thorny brush !
I would think that it would be a good idea to get all that floating debris off the front of the main dam before you and Chris put down the rock. It'll be a lot more difficult to pick it off the rock face than it would be now and it's going to look a mess on the rock face if you don't clear it. Don't know if Chris can reach the edge with the 220 from the top of the dam or if not then you might have to get in there with a grappling hook and rope.
Im in north central NC/VA border and it was 38 a couple mornings and i love it, when it gets above 80 im miserable hot. Seems like the older i get the more hot natured i am and dont even look for a jacket till around 35* unless its a steady breeze then things get cold quick lol
