Always loved THAT move of Donnys....when I saw it in concert I nearly did faint....(I was only 14). Thanks Helen, this bought it all back...great footage Gailxx
@dundonian35 Thank you for the information. It is unfortunate that The Osmonds were only seen as teenybopper group. They obviously had real talent - they could all sing, play instruments, write and produce songs... as well as make 'statements' such as 'Crazy Horses' and The Plan. Cheers.
@zatopecara It's from The Plan ending the first track Traffic in my Mind. It repeats at the end of the last track Going Home. Most of the album has these little segments connecting tracks. It's the best album The Osmonds every produced and is way underrated by music critics. I imagine because they were seen as a bubblegum group. If you listen to the The Plan you'll hear what they were capable of given the opportunity. It's not what you will expect and so much better than you'll ever imagine.
It wasn't a school but the Town Hall. They were in Glasgow (Scotland) and the kids were visiting the TH unaware that The Osmonds were going to visit with them. It was a surprise.
Had 4gotten Donny had "CORKY" on the back on His jacket ! Wonder if His brothers still call Him that! Family nicknames never seem to fade.......... STILL GREAT FOOTAGE Helen xxxx
What amazes me is the first 2 had hearing problems an one of them was completely deaf but they still were able to play the saxophone and were largely involved with the band and their brothers. That's what I admire about how they were raised. Their success was shared by them all and all of them were involved and benefited from the fortune they all built.
@annieswan yeah they are!!! especially at 7:34 when donny is putting his wrist in the ice,I dont really understand what merrill and alan are saying to him though? also" let them get in the plane they are soaking wet" how good do they look soaking wet? lol
When Donny is putting his wrist in the ice, I think they might be referring to the karate routine and breaking the boards. Listen to it again in that context and it makes a lot of sense.
Great documentary. i like the song being played over the film footage from 1:00... I think they sing 'don't take it too easy' or something similar... Do you know the name of the song and was it on an LP?
i just fainted after watching donny wiggle his butt during jailhouse rock! *sits down* i need a glass of water to cool me down! is it hot in here, or is it just donny? its donny!
No Not THIS tour cos they are wearing their Trousers Suits NOT the jumpsuits which were designed by the same person who did Elvis' OK.... dont get "cute" - we know OUR Osmonds too well!!!LOL
