And yes to the "Any Morbid Angel Fan know what I mean when its slow but fast?" Yes. Listen to Gateways to Annihilation. Specifically "Opening of the Gates."
Due to these 2 reviews of Morbid Angel, I decided to buy these new editions, although I already have those of the first press. Thanks again! Besides, I had so much fun with your reactions!
"Iron Maiden might be my favourite band, what do you say about that?" - Not entirely surprised to be honest. Mine's Death, which would be a fantastic band for you to give a go, if you don't know them. They're considered one of the bands (if not _the_ band) that started Death Metal. They're also from Florida and they evolved on every record they ever made. My personal favourite record by them is the album Human, but most people are either into Symbolic, or Leprosy, but honestly you could just pick any of them. (If, of course, you choose to give them a whirl) Amazing band.
Pete Sandoval: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LQqNJwa5lig.html He was one of death metal's best drummers. Yes, one of ;) And our two cartoon friends of course: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oidCSBMsaR0.html "Was that a bear?"
squashedeyeball Love the drumming. Blimey though, the comments section on that video is a trainwreck! And I miss Beavis and Butthead! They have a point. How exactly do you bow splendidly?
The Mercurial Number Six Yeah, comments were surprisingly dumb :) But bow splendidly is actually really simple: All you need to remember is to wave your hands and roll/spin them very quickly in from of you, just before you bow. The number of rolls/spins determined the amount of splendid you offer. So for example, if someone is "bowing splendidly" to the extreme, he/she will need about 4 hours of hands rolls in order to do so.
The idea of discovering challenging music you never heard in front of an audience is very interesting. I hope it will influence people to venture out of their comfort zones. I'd strongly suggest Suffocation's "Pierced From Within" if you'd like to investigate American Death Metal a bit more. This is a very strong and influential album for the genre.
Dude I watched your blessed are sick review. I love Morbid Angel music. Their albums are alphabetical starting letter. Covenant is third album. A is altars of madness...first album and a classic one too . all are great though. They progress too. Thanks for covenant review and video. Your really entertaining. MA have a new great album Kingdoms Disdained came out 5 days ago.
A few of the Tampa bands i saw had bassists the did the three finger style that i pretty much assumed at the time someone copped from Bluegrass pickers and adapted it for bass.. When i saw Morbid Angel live, David Vincent was using it for the higher speed material. As for Angel of Disease, it's one of their earliest songs and was on their unreleased first album effort circa 1986, hence the stylistic difference in structure and sound.
Hi! I suggest you review the 1995 domination album and also the Altars of Madness from 1989 which was re-released on FDR, too. Only Domination has been released on FDR.
Trey's thank list on this album was pretty funny. He thanks Simon Belmont and all of Castlevania 1, 3, and 4...Not only is he mentioning Castlevania in his thanks, but he specifically excludes Simon's Quest. That made me laugh.
The edit of this video Is sick, i heard many people reference to this record as the best death metal album of all times... This Is getting really eclectic, can you give a try to Kurt Vile - Waking on a pretty day? Saludos Mercurial número seis.
Please consider doing the album "Planetary Duality" by The Faceless sometime (a progressive tech/death masterpiece!) Also I would die and go to heaven if you were to ever do "Ire Works" by Dillinger Escape Plan (a progressive mathcore masterpiece!) Not to sell the albums short with such general labels. The latter in particular is one of the most fun, innovative, diverse, adventurous and mindbending "metal" albums of all time. Loving you and your channel, awesome discovery for me. Cheers!
Metallica and grunge is played on Classic Rock stations here, but nothing more extreme. I would like for more 80's metal to be played on radio. Dokken, Accept, and Saxon style.
the one that sounded more commercial (more 80s thrash, really) was actually an earlier demo track that they re-did on this album. Mr. Azagthoth 'sang' on it too btw.
That is a rumor that just will not die trey didn’t do any vocals on Covenant. David Vincent did vocals on Angel of Disease here’s an interview about it: Why is the vocal delivery so different on “Angel of Disease” from the rest of the album? “I’m not sure. I just felt like that’s what I wanted to do on that song. It’s a little older. (Editor’s note: “Angel of Disease” originally appeared on Abominations of Desolation, Morbid Angel’s scrapped debut.) There are other songs on that record where the vocals are kinda mid-rangey. I like diversity. “God of Emptiness” is a lot different too. I don’t really have one setting; I like changing settings. That’s a me thing. It’s not from a different session or anything; it was done at the same time. I just took a different approach.”
@@iaksakkak1006 Oh Ok. Trey did the lyrics, maybe that's what messed me up. Or I assumed because he did the lyrics and it sounds different that it was him.
Mr.42, your everloving Number 1 Mercurial Mercenary !!!!!!! Just wanting to recap HOW much i enjoy the MESS reviewer you ARE !!!! The Disaster Bleeding Eye Master !!! It's FUCKING BACCARAT !!!! Dinky game if there ever was !......... PUH---- LEEEEZEE Review away Commander Slander !!!!!! hahahahahahaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Metallica - Black album ... I'd have to remind myself of the most of it that comes after Enter Sandman, to assess its heavines / genre. I'm quite surprised you don't find Coventnant heavy. I mean, I heard it now with you and it checked it on YT to get idea of the production sound. It sounds heavy to me. (lightbulb) Topic I'd find interesting for you to adress: Your (choose amount) heaviest songs or albums. I mean music that sounds heavy to you, not heaviest you wrote. Yes, I heard some punky riffs there, but that's the whole insight I can offer in this case. I have about as much expirience with Morbid Angel as you do M6. I originaly thought about suggesting Krabathor - Lies, for one of your future listen-throughs, but apart from other problems it may be bit redundant, just another death metal. If you'll be able to get hold of Slut - Smell Me album (most likely very difficult to do in UK and as far I can tell it never was pressed on vinyl), get it and make listen-through first impression of it. I bet you wouln'd regret it. If you'd like to get very different take on death metal than MA, get Entombed - Inferno. It's far from ortodox death, or swedish death that they pioneered themselves. It's... no, I might sway your impression and it would be lot less interesting for me to watch if you'd do listen-through of it.
Gatefold!!! Burt Baccarat left the band... as long as the neighbours can hear it, it's good... one year ago, you was fatter... biscuit and mushmellow sammiches are good... Metallica's black album is girl-pop... Bass Willis... Beavis and Butt-head are cool... "Hey look, it's another one of those heavy metal videos with a naked dude all curled up on the floor." "Bow to me splendidly? Heh, heh, heh... What does that mean?"...
+Evilwhiteclownpunk I wish I had your commenting skill! I watched your bridge video and I had... nothing. Couldn't think of a single bridge-related gag!
Seeing as you mentioned back in the day gigs, you ought to check out Pete's pre Morbid Angel band, Grindcore pioneers Terrorizer. The World Downfall album is an absolute onslaught of warp speed precision blasting.
Would love to see you play Acid Bath When the Kite String Pops, cover is by John Wayne Gacy, but it's a very different, great album!! Thanks, Rock On!!
Mercurial Mercenary 42 reporting in,,,...I have a PLEEEEZE, PLUH---LEEEEEZE,review the Morbid Angel album titled Kingdoms Disdained !!!!! One more time could you PLEASE,Please, please review the Kingdom Disdained !!!!!!!!! p.s.......pleeeeeeze !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Lol . You seem like a cool dude. check out some good friends of mine, Cephilac Carnage. they are something all on there own . they are amazing musicns. John Marryman , one of the most under rated drummers.
If you want a completely different sound of morbid angel, however still amazing, Morbid Angel - Gateways to Annihilaton. IMO Way better than Blessed, and Covenant combined, however not better than Altars of Madness.
Never classic rock, always old school death metal!! Also recommend Grave Souled, or Entombed Clandestine albums

First. I claim my five pounds. The thumbnail is wrong - red and green should be the other way round for port and starboard. Unless the picture was taken looking into the mirror. As a coastal type, I thought you wold have known that, Seis.
And unfortunately Covenant is their most overrated album, it's good, but I guess it's because it was their biggest hit commercially that people think it's great. Personally, Altars of Madness and Gateways to Annihilation are the best MA albums.
