This video shows the first load test after restoring an Onan 12.0 DJC. For those that may not know, an Onan 12.0 DJC is spec’d for a maximum of 12 kw. The load test exceeded my expectations. I was able to run at 13.5 kw at 60 Hz for an extended period of time without any problems. I had a total of 10 home electric space heaters running and the genset never hunted and never grunted as I was turning on and cutting off the heaters. If I had more heaters, I am sure I could have loaded the genset to 14 kw or more.
