cld you clamp the part tight enough to keep it from moving with a small hose clamp or a small muffler clamp. just a thought..

Hello my Rv friend. My sis has a Onan , think it’s a 2000 on her class c van , same issue, surging. i mentioned the altitude adjustment as she was up in Pikes Peak area, but upon trying to get the black cap off, the stem snapped. 😫. Advise your friends that that stem is very thin at that point. I ended up getting her a replacement and took the black cap off before installed it. Got it running but then ran into the dreaded shut downs after 3-5 minutes. Draining a half cup oil out below the dipstick full level( says 1/4). it runs and doesn’t shut down now ! 💯👍🖖

That is a interesting intake manifold design. I wonder what caused the rivets to loosen?

Just saw a video where the guy compressed the generator springs and clamped it to get enough room to take it out.

Some of the Onans have a magnetic throttle control mmmm????
