awesome walk through tour of the auto train I though there was going to be a lounge car on this train like other long distance trains have but the auto train dissent relay use that kind of car much
I can't tell you how much I appreciate that video! We leave on the 52 train (SAN>LOR) on Monday. This will be our 11th trip but the last 4 were 2020 to 2022 and even the 2022 trip they weren't using the dining car due to staffing issues. I've been trying to find out if dinner for sleeper passengers is back in the dining car and your video showed the tables set, so I got my question answered! Also, I've never walked the whole train so this was interesting. Thanks again!!
Of course! I created this video _because_ I''ve never seen anyone do a full walkthrough of the train, and I had been curious for a while prior. And yes, sleeping car passengers had full access to the dining car for dinner and breakfast, and it was wonderful. Enjoy your trip!
Thank you the video walkthrough. One question - your northbound train (52) to Lorton, were the sleeper cars at the end of the train (before the car carriers), or at the front of the train (behind the diesels)?
I believe on train 52, the sleepers are at the front of the train due to the fact there isn’t anywhere to turn the consist around at Lorton or Sanford.
