Not sure how it works in this, but my cousin did race a while, he got switches in his car, and it was like fan for the radiotaor, fuelpump etc

The switches to the right of the red ignition switch are on board computer on and activate switch. Switch to the right of those is the delay box for launch control. Thanks for watching. Dave Jamison

SOU6900 it’s a 2 speed powerglide bud the turbo 400 that most street racers use is only a 3 speed

@@FromAshesWithin228 I know the Powerglide is 2 speed and the 400 is 3 speed. I didn't know if it was just a 400 that had been knocked down to a 2 speed since I hear that some people do that.

@@SOU6900 yeah you primarily will only see a TH400 2 speed in a door car/pro mod. Dragsters most usually run PGs

That was a 2 speed glide, I have since changed to a Rossler 3 speed. Thanks for watching!

It's neither it is a B and M 2 speed gearbox in gear out of gear

It’s 3.99 in the 1/8th mile. That equates to about 6.20’s in the 1/4 mile. Car is making around 1600-1700 HP.

Dragsters burn out in a higher gear With a throttle stop. The button on the steering wheel next to his right hand serves two functions. Reverse and then to leave the line. You have your fire suppression energy red button on the left. That’s all the ones I know for sure.

The button he holds with his right thumb is the transmission brake that holds the car with the throttle wide open until he releases it and it launches.

Not Top Fuel. Top speed was 182 mph.

It was an 1/8 mile pass, not 1/4 mile. 3.99 at 182mph. No piston engine powered vehicle has run 1/4 mile in 3.99 sec. Today's Top Fuel dragster run 1000ft in 3.6-3.7 seconds and that's at 325+ mph.

indeed it is difficult to move the transmission at speeds of 200+ mph, but isn't the automatic transmission a lot of energy wasting and why not switching to a manual transmission is more powerful right?

GAMING PRO/NUB It depends on what speed are going in top dragster you need a right type of transmission this person has a supercharger so it would make sense to go to your two speed transmission
