As a designer I'd disagree. Its purpose is not the same as Kraken's. This one is a glorious day-sailer for perfect weather, with a nice party space below for catering waiters to circulate between twenty-some guests while parked in Monaco marina on a nice summer evening... I think the design here suits its purpose perfectly; in fact if you find the design as not good it simply means you misunderstand the purpose of this yacht. Its closest competitors are the recent Grand Soleil 72, a Vismara, a smaller Southern Wind or a Wally...

The last sentence shows your house very small... this clearly a party boat, with plenty of floor space for a waiter or catering peoppe to circulate between the chairs...

Oof, Inam reading one jealous (emvious) comment after another, which does make me chuckle. No, I cannot afford this boat either, but I like good design and do not like 'em fun and social appliance such as this to be "homey" or with humidor-like interior...

As for projecting- no need to project here as the ideological nature of your dislike of this boat is recognized by your choice of words, such as "narcissistic"... (And I personally detest ideologues of all ilk) Now, I can understand when some salty old zealot objects to its flat deck and wide-open interior saloon, but that's a meritless criticism since it became standard in the past twenty-some years after it was introduced by Wally and Southern Wind, and then adopted by the sailing "royalty" of Nautor's Swan, the latest Hallberg Rassy 69, Contest Yachts, Vismara, ICE, Maxi Dolphin, Grand Soleil, CNB, and the list goes on. And, I have not heard of anyone slipping and braking any bones on this yacht or similar. S, the design cannot be as terrible as you make it, especially if its owner is pleased with it and the yacht is serving its purpose! Cheers.

It's one of those fast boats that can go across the world but the owner go as a passanger not as a sailor

Hahaha, there are no stormy sea conditions for the owner or this yacht: - only a perfect day out on the water or a party in the evening... When its stormy, its owner will be safe and warm at their estate on land...

@@arnoldkostka1604 Looked at the CNB 78, stunning boat and comfortable, great for long passages. However I enjoy solo sailing a lot and an Oyster 565 or 595 would suit me to a tee!! I sail a Hanse 505 (2015) now and it works well but my eyes are on an Oyster 565. It’s everything I need or want in an ocean cruising boat. Cheers and thanks for the advice on the CNB, it’s still a beautiful sailboat!

@dennisrobinson4588 Yours funny comment! - This boat is seemingly for sailing and for enjoying life, not for "cruising" the way you mean it. Your saying you do not like this boat is like a farmer saying they do not like a Ferrari car cause their tractor works better for traversing muddy paddles... This leisure appliance is not an exploration vehicle. Even its size alone lets you know that you likely need a full-time crew to drive it, as in - you need to be able to afford a proper crew in addition to affording this boat. I'd like a Kraken 50, but this beauty costs like thrice more than a Kraken, and twice or so more than an Oyster 595...

@@yoryteperman429 Never said I didn’t like it, the Y8 just doesn’t look comfortable, I think it sails wonderfully but just doesn’t look good, too minimalist. There are Ferraris I don’t like as well, but let me have a 365 Daytona and I’ll be happy or a 1963 Mercedes Benz 300SL roadster and I take you on a drive you will never forget. Yes a Kraken 50 would work well too. Cheers mate, it’s all a matter of preference though!
