This was a big one! Whew! I got all the goodies for all the holiday gatherings. This is such a fun time of year for grocery shopping. There are so many delicious options available. What special things are you buying for your celebrations?

We are a large family with 10 kids ranging in age from 22-8. We homeschool live on a few acres in Central Texas. With our family size, we buy a lot of groceries, so expect several once-a-month grocery hauls at the first of every month. On our farm, we raise great pyrenees, a handful of livestock animals and tend to a small garden. It's an adventure, and still new to us. So join us! Sometimes we succeed, and many times we don't.

Hi there, I just came across your channel. I live in Greece, and I live in the area that was very heavily hit by floods back in September, not easy. We also had fires in July, I have not had a house fire, thank goodness, but can’t imagine how difficult that must’ve been. I’m glad you’re back on your feet, and I think when you do go through a thing, like this, it changes your perspective on a lot of things. My home was flooded back in September, I am visually impaired, and I’m not even on the ground floor. We had water coming in through the terrace in our building, so everybody’s apartment was flooded. Our building is also close to a river which overflowed three times, during two separate floods, so the basement were all of us has a storage unit, it was… In very bad condition. Not working elevator, no electricity, a couple of friends of mine didn’t have electricity for nine days, no running water for about 20 days. It was very difficult. I do have a lot of things to keep me busy at home, thankfully, because when we didn’t have electricity, I was going out of my mind. But it’s also made me want to use the things I have a lot more, because I am so aware that you can lose everything in a minute. I just purchased this apartment back in March, it’s my first home, and then in September I had to go through this, and it just makes you question a lot of things.

The iced oatmeal cookie bar sounds delicious, I doubt I can buy that here, but I might have to look for a recipe and try and make my own. That would probably be even better. And I still have not been able to find coffee creamer in Greece, a lot of the times, they don’t really flavor their coffee. I think in the baking section, I might be able to find some flavored syrups of some kind, and they do make flavored hot chocolates with strawberry, caramel, and hazelnut, so I could always use those. Well, maybe not the strawberry one… But the other ones definitely. Strawberry hot chocolate is really good. That’s very popular here. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do for Christmas or Christmas Eve yet. As I mentioned, in my other comment, the floods took their toll on me, and my home was damaged, so I’m still not quite back on my feet. I might do some easy finger foods, and things I like. I found chocolate covered baklava the other day, that was delicious. So maybe that.

I'm sure the tree will work out great! Not sure about the basket but you can use wrapping paper on the tree pot to make it festive if you want. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
