I needed to build some barn doors for my master bedroom closets because my dog kept getting into my clothes. I had this idea to super-size the woven cutting board concept, and essentially make two giant edge grain cutting boards to function as doors.

It’s great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. These doors are absolutely amazing! The elipse handle really is the finishing touch of the entire project to be completely honest with you. It just adds an interesting flair to the doors overall.

The leopard wood looks absolutely amazing with the honey finish, sucks that you couldn't get the mirrored look as that would have been a great little added detail in my opinion. But it looks amazing none the less.

Beautiful. With a hint of Art Nouveau in those intertwined inlays, the colour and texture of the woods gorgeously juxtapose the same on the bathroom doors. Brilliant.

The doors came out amazing! The walnut and ceder inlays in combination with the handles make it really unique. To arrange the wood so it goes from light to dark was laughably simple, but it really complements the design, I absolutely love it!

For your Jarkery, I would pick up some plug covers for dust and dirt. I'm not sure if it has internal doors, but every time you plug in, you'll be shoving your saw dust or trail dirt in even with door.

Those look dope; really enjoyed the process! I think for the handles, I'd have tried to make a design that accommodates sliding in both directions, as these seem way better for closing the doors than opening them. But I also like asymmetry so ... form over function? I do that a lot :)

Those doors are fabulous! In a small way they made me feel nostalgic. The house I grew up in had a den with knotty pine paneling just that color. I guess that's where my love of knotty pine began, just wish I had a place of my own so I could have that paneling again.

OK, this looks really good. I had my doubts with the initial proposal as it sounded a bit plain. The result is far better than I expected, though. The wood colour gradient looks amazing with the two doors together, and sticking the darker inserts towards the lighter end of the doors is excellent. These are certainly simpler than your bathroom doors, but I personally like the contrast here better. Excellent!
