She had 11 children one set of twin's. The writing was worded so deeply in those days. It makes your heart cry. Thank you Leo and Heather. Enjoy your camping.

I bet she had RH negative blood and the husband had RH positive. This happened with an aunt of mine. She lost about 6 this way. First couple of children were ok. After that, they all died.

My Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Caudill. From Letcher county KY. She was born in March 1898. She raised her children in Hallie Kentucky, in a holler call Turkey Creek. It's still there. Still lots of Caudills, Campbell's, and Stampers. If she were here she would tell me if there's people on those headstones tonight that you talked about are related to us. I can almost guarantee they are. Bless you for doing what you do. I miss Kentucky.

I cried so much, probably because I have a 19yo son. So much of the human experience is suffering, war, and death. Thank God He offers us salvation from this fate. Thank you for this beautiful video.

Leo, it's nice to see this "side" of history being represented impartially. Up here in Pennsylvania, we don't see CSA graves in our cemeteries, obviously. However, the landscape and the lives that this war changed is still seen and felt if you look hard enough like you guys do. When I see a young soldier's grave, I often wonder who he left behind: a future wife, a wife, children, and all those left to mourn him until they passed. Thank you! 👍

The latest estimates of deaths in the war was 750,000. Of those deaths approximately 400,000 died from disease not wounds received in battle. Those numbers are mind boggling. Leo & Heather you as usual did an excellent job with this video. Thanks for bringing to light this forgotten cemetery. I hope you both have a very Merry Christmas 🎄. Also I hope Santa Claus is very good to both of you. You deserve it.❤

Leo, Jim and I both want to thank you so much for your work today. You really caught us off guard. Seeing this brings tears to us both. It makes war real. Neither of us were prepared for it but that is what makes it so special. Please, as soon as you can go back and spend more time there. So much to see and learn. Merry Christmas to you and Heather

My hometown, the Westwood community where this is filmed is known to the locals simply as graveyard holler. My mother, sister and a host of friends is buried on the other side of the graveyard. Below around the public swimming pool late on some nights you can hear the pounding of hoofbeats as if the soldiers are on the move.

I love history with a particular passion for civil war history. Isn't true of most wars "an old man's war a young man's fight" and "a rich man's war a poor man's fight" truly sad that so many of these young men rest in unnamed graves. I know it was war time with limited resources but these men deserved so much better. I hope they rest peacefully in the holy keeping of our loving God.

Thank you so much Leo, Heather. This is one grest video. I was sort of expecting this to go one way, then it hit me right in the heart. Those poor babies, young children and the parents that lived on. I would really like a copy of the soldiers note, and the note on Potters field. If those two dont make you stop and think, then something is wrong with you. You were reading the soldiers names and units. The Kentucky 5th Infantry A company, is what my great grandfather, his five brothers, and my great great grandfather were in. They were out of Morgan County, KY. My great great grandfather was promoted to Chaplain. He may very well have read over these young men. Thank ya'll so much for what ya'll do, both in the research and in the field. This is one of those cemeteries that you could probably spend a month in. God bless ya'll and hope ya'll have a blessed and Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
