Once upon a time in Albania - 1 - Vlorë-Fier HSH 

Assolutamente! Anche se la storia è purtroppo complessa, l'Italia regalò 63 di queste carrozze all'Albania nel 1991, che hanno fatto un servizio fondamentale per trent'anni, e fin qui bene. Ma era un regalo facile per le FS, perché non erano state decoibentate dall'amianto, che specialmente sui tubi ex riscaldamento a vapore rimase lì fino alla fine, quando le ultime furono ritirate e demolite nel 2020-2021. Insomma un regalo di cui c'è poco da essere orgogliosi purtroppo.

@@TrainRM Se non erro avevano mandato pure delle Uic-X in livrea rosso fegato, vedendo le altre parti del video. Anche quelle avevano amianto? e sono state pure ritirate? perché in altri video recenti del tratto Elbassan - Durazzo ho visto che usano delle Ex-DB

12 UIC-X 1964, già decoibentate, arrivate nel 1999. Qualcuna dovrebbe ancora esistere, ma io è dal 2019 che non ci vado più, e non sono aggiornato.

Yes, as i stated in every presentation of this video. But it's one train a week to Elbasan from Durrës Plazh... When i filmed this video, there were 4 Tiranë-Elbasan, 2 of them continued to Pogradeç; 2 to Shkodër, 2 to Vlorë, the Kisha train to Laç, and some freight train to Ballsh. A little difference, sadly. I love HSH and hope things will get better, but seeing one train per week to Elbasan is a pain for me, sorry. Part 2 is online, part 3 with Tiranë central station is coming soon, filmed from driver's cab with two engineers of HSH that were friends of mine. Life wasn't nice with me in the last years, and I probably never will get back to Shqipëria in my life, but i hope for a real railway system in Albania. Thanks for appreciating the video!

@@TrainRM yes, it’s very sad. There are 3 pairs of trains from Durres to Elbasan per week which cannot compare to the 4 pairs of trains from Tiranë to Elbasan which also doesn’t compare to its peak in the late 80s. I saw a news video recently that HSH had received a €1,000,000 grant from the government. This means 4 linear km of wooden railroad ties will be put into the Durres-Elbasan line and 4 linear km of wooden railroad ties will be put into the Rrogozhine-Lushnje line, and they will also be repairing the bridge in Rrogozhine which was the reason why the Rrozhine-Lushnje line closed down. I do not know when this will happen but it will happen soon. Maybe it will be done by this summer which would be great because it would add on to the Tiranë-Durres train. I assume you have also seen the news report that said in January of 2024 the reconstruction of the Vore-Shkoder-Han I Hotit line. Overall the tragic history of our country’s railways is very saddening but I like to look at it from the viewpoint of today and focusing on the improvements of tomorrow. Overall we have had an improvement from last year, a 50 percent increase in passenger traffic and a 2x increase in ridership. It’s upsetting that it had to get to this point to do anything for Albanias railways but at least there’s a positive future ahead. I’m also sorry that life hasn’t been great to you, I hope you get better.

@@sebastolafgravberg6757 obviously yes if you want to experience it! But there's only said Durrës Plazh-Elbasan train, it's a pity there's nothing else...
