The writers really messed up season 5.. This promo alone is better than the dark swan storyline. It would've been great to see Emma as an actual villain.
I've commented before, and I'll do it again. This was the biggest missed opportunity in the show. I kept watching up until the preview of Aladdin and Jasmine having English accents, and then I just had to wash my hands of it. We were all to lucky to have a spin off in Wonderland with an amazing villain in Jafar. Such a shame they didn't use the same actor when they brought Jafar to story brook. Of course I have never even seen an episode of season 7, it was to convoluted and wasteful. The writers had to been on serious drugs, and the producers on some powerful hallucinogens to allow such terrible writing onto the air. One can only hope that one day they will reboot the series and make some series changes.

No, this scene doesn't happen in the show, I guess the creators were trying to show what Emma could become if she truly gave into the darkness. The only reason (spoilers ahead.....forewarned not to read forward if you don't want to know) she did was to save Killian from death by making him a dark one, which turned her dark as well. Even still, the worst she did was turn Sneezy into a statue, compared to people like Rumple as a dark one, even Killian during his time as the dark one, she was pretty actually, good??? as good as any dark one can be
Bogdan 96 i can see your point,it was misleading. At the same time the whole reason she took on the darkness was because Regina certainly wouldn't have been able to fight it. I have a lot of issues with 5a though, more than i do 5b. My point is to really give into the darkness would have been out of character for Emma
+Bogdan 96 you know i agree with you, i also was surprised when i watched 5a and realized nothing in the promo was in it. My biggest issue was how they handled Camelot, Arthurian Legend is one of my favorites and they really really disappointed me and handled it badly. I'm still upset they killed Merlin after spending all that time saying they needed to find him to help her
They destroy the darkness, it destroys the central story of life, good and evil so yeah, we both know evil can never be fully gone. I didn't care for Arthur as a villain and the silly dark one story for Hook (although on a side note I thought Dark Hook was amusing) Than the whole sacrifice thing turns out to be a not sacrifice thing and Rumple once again goes right back into being the dark one. I just can't believe when it comes to Merlin, one of the most powerful wizards wouldn't take more care in protecting his heart. There could have been more creative ways of getting them home than killing who arguably was the most powerful wizards
Honestly I was confused on that as well, from what I understand Dark Ones really have no emotion, especially the capacity for love, so for her to cry, did seem a little off. Camelot made some sense because she wasn't fully given over as a "dark one" but like the dreamcatcher room, I just can't picture that happening, especially when she was so calloused about the fact that the kiss with Hook didn't change her back. They tried their best to make her convincing as a dark one but when compared to Rumple, she just never matched up! I was to be truthful relieved when he went back to being the Dark One again, just seems, right somehow, even if I get tired of him hurting Belle over and over again. I honestly am not keeping my hopes up for season 6 for that reason, although Jafar looks promising as a villain, somehow they seem to manage to muck things up. However, even still, Once is my favorite show, just I think their writing needs to tighten up a bit
