@@ChampagneCoquette 60219 - here is breakdown of Mandalay Bay’s room number meaning: The 60 is floor number, 2 is the “wing” number, 19 is the room number. For these type of rooms that aren’t “end cap rooms,” you’d want to be in Wing 2, with odd number room for the “North View.”…room numbers closer to “35” are optimal since its closer to the end of the wing that allows for best view angles. :D
Great video! I vlog Vegas Hotels and Casinos and Mandalay Bay is the next one I am going to post. Thanks for the details of the room. Great video quality.
Thanks for the tip regarding room with view. Wing two, odd number room. I'm on it! But only because of you. I've got a 2 bedroom panoramic suite booked for April and I've been wondering how to request a suite with a view looking North up LV Blvd. And now I know. 🙂 Thanks again!
Thank you for trusting my video lol But keep in mind that the view formula changes for the 2 Bedroom Panoramic Suites in terms of Wing Number. These 2 Bedroom Panoramics are unique and fun but Wing 1 is the goal for these since these are situated as the endcaps of each wing. View facing North towards MGM Grand, Luxor, etc is the key word to use…don’t let them fool you with Strip View or anything LV Blvd view. If you haven’t already, call them and ask them to note in your reservation for North View in Wing 1 with high floor. They’ll know you mean business when you specify Wing 1 lol I’m planning to make a video on these 2 bedroom panoramics soon so please stay tuned!
@@1takesituation Wow! SO glad I commented on our video. If I hadn't, you wouldn't have answered me and I would probably get a 2 bedroom suite overlooking I-15! Not that the mountain view in the background is bad, but that northern view of the boulevard is amazing and in the past, I've actually seen the Bellagio fountains from there (when the fountain hits its tallest peak.) Thanks gain for the tip. You've just earned another subscriber and I'm looking forward to your review of the 2 bedroom queen panoramic suite.
I know for sure I’m on the 60th floor and in wing 2. They wouldn’t tell me exact room number though. I requested Odd, do you know if the even side on wing 2 has this style of room?
Sorry Tyler, I deleted my initial reply to this question because I mistakenly thought you were asking about the Corner Suites at Aria. I'm not 100% sure but this room type should also be available on the EVEN side. Hopefully you get the ODD numbered room. Let us know how it went!
@@1takesituation thank you so much for multiple responses! I’m hoping for ODD side for the strip view, regardless thanks for this very informative video. Your work is appreciated
@@tyler1783 - just keep in mind that they fooled me before because they gave me a “strip view” room before, and they are very loose with that term….it was a view towards Las Vegas Blvd, not towards the north where all the main hotels are situated. Cheers!
If it is 118, I really might put my underwear in the freezer part haha. Very noisy vent but probably worth it haha. Great transitions between other hotels to compare the room and the view. Great use of the map pic of the hotel to describe where you were and what you should ask for to get that similar view and room.
118 degrees will make us do whatever it takes. Lol Mandalay Bay was slick with selling me “strip view” the previous time - it was not the strip view most of us would expect. So this time, I made sure to specify in language that they cannot misinterpret. Thank you for watching, Jono!
@@1takesituation yeah that is dirty claiming it is a strip view just because you can see the street, even if the strip is the opposite direction haha. How do you choose where you stay next?
@@Jono2002 - I book rooms, impromptu style for the most part. My schedule doesn’t allow for me to book too far ahead for Vegas, so most of the time, I’m booking within the week, many times the night before. I survey room availability, my mood (which includes considerations for this channel) and budget factor to select rooms. My next set of hotels to check out are Harrah’s, Linq, Wynn, Rio (want to see how bad it is lol) and some of the towers at Caesars Palace. I tried Flamingo in my last trip and something disgusting happened that led me abruptly checkout at 2am and go hunt for a new hotel on a busy 4th of July weekend. Good times lol
@@1takesituation wow very different from my booking 4 months in advanced haha. So much goes into your choices. I didn’t realize you had a budget, you always seem to be at crazy rooms haha. Hope to hear the flamingo story someday haha. Impressive that you could find a room after that at such a busy time.
@@Jono2002 I'm still salty about the Flamingo incident lol Once my feels settles down, I'll decide on how to approach its video - there will be a video. Hopefully, your Vegas hotel stays have been without drama
Nice review. If I go back to Mandalay, I will probably get that room, need that mini fridge! Price wise, it's not bad in my offers. I just hate gambling there. I am zero for 15+ there.
The mini fridge was a surprise given MGM Resorts is not as loose with providing fridges as CE. But I was just as surprised when I couldn’t find a mini in a standard Octavius room…I assumed CE would provide one in that room since minis were pretty much in every CE room I’ve been in so far. How does Luxor’s casino treat you? Lol
@@1takesituation I would say prob about even at Luxor. I haven't gambled much there at all, I can only remember a handful of times gambling there. Did you do ok there?
@@socal_gambler - my Luxor casino experience is limited, but 20 years ago, I somehow turned a $10 free play coupon that I was about to trash, since I didn’t know what it was, into four digits. My last stay last year, they didn’t offer much tables games so I just experimented with the Bubble Craps machine for 4 days. Came out about even but it generated TCs lol Caesars emailed promoting some sort of a 5X TC multiplier in October. I think you mentioned CE offers these promos…is it legit or am I missing something in the fine prints?
@@1takesituation it's legit. That's how you level up fast if you got the bankroll. They do the tier multipliers a few times a year. There is another one at the end of this month for 5x tier. It could be just coincidence, but it seems during those times, the machines pucker up a bit more.
@@socal_gambler I’m searching for upcoming Caesars 5X TC promo but can’t locate anything online. The only one I see is hidden in my app, for 10/17-10/20. The 5X sounds too good to be true lol How’s MGM Rewards treating you? Do they offer multipliers?
