Personally and that's me, not judging anyone, I refuse to carry appendix a gun without a manual safety. If I ever do it without a safety I will remove the holster from my withband, reholster the gun and then place it back on my withband.
Nobody is looking for it. It does not matter if ur printing. Cant stand the tacticool appendix nonsense. If u carry outside the waist are u carrying appendix? No. Do what you want obviously but thats my opininon. Same with an on body tourniquets. Ur more likely to need a band aid
@@SurvivalOnPurpose I do....& I recall one of the basic rules of gun safety...never point one at anything you aren't willing to see catch a bullet. Which I why see appendix carry as unsafe.... No way I'd routinely point a loaded pistol at my testicles &/or femoral arteries... Oh, I know that people think that practice somehow eliminates their ability to make a split second mistake...I wish them & you luck.
Nice EDC! Lost my stiletto for 2 weeks found it in my driveway soaking wet after days of rain, dried her out -like it never even happened. No changes to my 43x but added hogue grips "most ergonomic feel"of any firearm I own! Next add-on "hawg holster". Came close to buying one of those Klein knives, they're putting out some good stuff. Peace out!
my go-to gear is usually kinda expensive, but for whatever reason, this video reminded me that it doesn't REALLY matter how much money I spend, it comes down to carrying tools that have a purpose and carrying them as frequently as possible. I have a para military 3 in s45vn, but honestly, i have a really good blade sharpener and as long as i have a GOOD knife and i take care of it, it's all about what makes sense, and also remembering to carry the sucker as frequently as i can. a $50 in my pocket will do circles around a $200 knife that's stuck in between the couch cushions. great video! a good reminder to reevaluate my own carry and make sure it still makes sense!
I also appendix carry but it won’t be a Stryker gun that’s for sure. For me it either my Sig P225 or S&W 66-2 snub. Your other gear is looks like it works really well. Nice video..
@@SurvivalOnPurpose tuff as nails, I've had my 4 pairs for 5 years now with minimal wear compared to other brands. The company is just up the road from where I live by like 10 minutes
Oooooooo, welcome to the g43, like they say if you cant do it in, crap i forget, i got the 2 extensions, then what good will the double stack work, just throw it at them when you run out, and thank for the new tourniquets, work around chainsaw people now, and great videos as well🤘🇺🇲
Brian,My kizer Gemini II flipper gave up the ghost today. It was several years old so no complaints. Can you recommend a similar almost bushcraft flipper?
I just ordered one. I still really like the SOLO-T for it's multi-use feature but the Snake Staff looks like it might be the answer to slimming down my ankle kit
No. I started wearing the Wilderness Tactical Instructor belt after I bought one at Gunsite and sort of switched between it, a Klik Belt and a KORE Essentials, depending on how I felt that day. But when I got the Siege Belt and started carrying appendix, I liked the flexibility and, like I said, the "sag factor". By the way, Klik Belts was sold during the process I think the new owners decided on a different marketing strategy. I still like and sometimes wear them and my 'SOP15' discount code still works.
@@SurvivalOnPurpose good point, well to each their own I guess.as long as your happy.by the way you have a great channel. Do you have any recommendations for a good fire steel???
This one is seriously my favorite. It's not cheap but there is a 20% off code in the video description. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9mxuSTIKMnE.html
If you carry 2 pistols & can't use the same mag, that's an issue! I carry a gen 3 Glock 26 with a Pearce +0 XL mag extension, strong side, with a G19 reload. I have a gen 3 Glock 19 in my car & stick it between my seat & console. AZ is an open carry state with constitutional carry. I don't care if I print, momentarily! Add OC spray!
I am Not as concerned about using the same mags. My 2nd gun is a backup or to hand to someone who is unarmed but capable. And one of the top ways criminals get guns is by stealing them out of vehicles. If you leave a gun in your car or truck, please use a lockbox.
@@SurvivalOnPurpose No the number 1 reason why guns get stolen from their car. Is because they leave their car unlocked in their driveway! I know how to prevent car burglaries, period! Give a gun to someone else? I guess a friend/family member might know how to use a gun & not be old enough to carry. While that's possible. Is it probable? Attacks are close & fast! Will you have time to arm another person?
Locked doors don't prevent a smash and grab car burglary. I see so many people leaving guns in vehicles as if bad guys don't know how to break windows. A couple of years ago my truck window was broken into in broad daylight in a busy store parking lot (no, not Walmart). The cops said several trucks had been hit that day and a few guns stolen. My pistol was on my side but they did get a backpack full of camping gear (and it cost me a new replacement window). If there had been a pistol next to my seat they would have got it. And, if I don't have time to arm another person I probably won't need my backup gun anyway.
I bought a pair of Bates 2 years ago and about most comfortable boots I ever owned - bought another pair this past year and they went and changed the treads to hard rubber that feels like walking on ceramic tile + stitching busting loose! Why they got to change something when it's dang near perfect???
I always cringe whenever I see someone jam a Glock into an appendix holster without looking. Maybe that’s just my 12 years of ER nursing talking to me.
@@terrysmith4465 The real question should be, How many people have I seen who were severely injured while doing things they shouldn’t be doing, such as squirting lighter fluid on a fire, or jamming a pistol down there britches without looking, or texting while driving? Hundreds.
@@4StonesHandcraft you should always holster while visually assessing the situation of course that maybe just the 33 years of operating and training tier 1 personnel ( Delta SEAL6 Diplomatic Security FBI hostage rescue German GSG9 ect ) for 15 of those.
@@168Diplomat Hmm.. I’m wondering why someone is holstering if the scene is still potentially unsafe. Seems like a good way for him to get taken out while his gun is down his pants. But I’m at a disadvantage, all my operating was done in an OR. Can you elaborate?
Thanks for the info. I'll have to order a pair and see. So, the carpenter jeans have room for an ankle trauma kit without looking like you have a squirrel wrapped around your leg? If so, I'll try those.
