⚠️ FAQ ⚠️ - Don't get me wrong, the POCO F6 is still a terrific phone for daily use, it's lightweight and it's my wife's favorite phone, just specifically for gaming we see the Infinix is better (why I stopped gaming on F6 is exactly because of heat and jitters) - I did NOT cover the cooling fan, there are 2 boxes lined up just enough to support the phone and there's plenty of space for air to circulate, guess I lined them up too good? 😆 P.S. Audio quality is much better compared to Moondrop Block recording yeah? 😁
I've been using Infinix gt 20 pro for about a month now. Fully satisfied with its performance. Without cooler when Playing games at more than 60fps(pubgm,codm &ff), it heats to 47°C and with Cooler about 37°C. When i cap fps to 60, temperature >= 40°C. Better to buy Infinix for gaming.
@@Nanniwho61the release of the gt 20 pro comes with a gaming kit that is free now the free is gone it's a limited time offer since 2 months ago with out the gaming kit it's solid enough but if you have money then I suggest buying it. sperately it cost 50 dollars if you buy the gaming kit
@@AcerjayyOrbeee i'm planning to buy the gt20 not the pro version because of a limited budget is it still better if it's not a pro version and it doesn't have a cooling fan or at this point should i go for poco x6 pro?
thanks for the comparison again! i wonder if the poorer performance is down to poco/xiaomi being very conservative with their performance tuning as usual. kinda like how in the past when you disable joyose on miui you can get get better FPS performance in genshin. 🤣 like when i tested poco x4 gt with D8100 chipset, it performed a lot worse in Genshin compared to OnePlus 10R with the same chip. then there is the Xiaomi 13 with SD8Gen2 which performed noticeably worse than OnePlus 11 with the same chip (i was expecting poorer performance due to the smaller size, but the difference was a lot larger than expected). then more recently on Redmi k70 pro with SD8Gen3 and iQOO 12, while both are quite smooth in terms of FPS in Genshin/HSR (likely because the chip has good enough power efficiency at this point), the k70 pro still feels like it has a bit more minor FPS dips here and there, whereas it's a bit more stable on the iQOO 12. :/
Thanks for sharing Alex this brings sooo much more context into POCO/Xiaomi performance scheduler in general and why it behaves like it is in the video Anyway I’ll have to try more phones I guess 🤣
☝️☝️This! A lot of people don't realise a good phone doesn't mean good hardware but also good software. Almost all chinese brands do this trick of "fine tuning" they say and lower the performance and gives out crappy stabilization so that more users will buy their phones. This is why even if I do end up buying one from them, I usually updates the os after 5-6months from the date of release or flash a reliable custom rom if applicable.
Demoing Wuwa....NICE.... you got Jinshi....NICE !! Is the Flydigi controller support on the new Wuwa 1.3? Does it recognize it as supported controller?
Haha thanks man, I really enjoyed the battle mechanics although I’m not super good at perfect parrying, but lately I haven’t been able to play anymore so I couldn’t get the latest chars haha Also for the controllers they simulate touch and I assigned them by myself, so no official controller support yet (I think the controller support is iOS only)
@@namedkenn not really. some controllers can disguise themselves as PS or Xbox controller. I am using a china brand controller called BSP-D11. it disguise itself as a Xbox controller :-) Anyway do check out the latest Wuwa....new content and new characters to summon. I didn't get Jinshi but i got the next great one - ChangLi ...happy playing
Android already got controller support i play using flydigi direwolf 2 and it's working you have to use x-input mode or in my case i plug in usb dongle
The case is a special cooling case with PCM (phase change material) that works like a vapor chamber, so it is already working at full potential and it is working cause the temperature never reach 40 degrees which any phone without a fan would reach the first thing in the morning 😁
But with the case it just cover half of the cooler surfaces, im already test it with genshin highest, 60 fps. The temperature will be lower with cooler directly attached, but im using the cooler that comes with the casing, maybe it's a different story if im using that high end flydigi cooler 😅😅and yes i have gt20pro and the cooling set.
@@rodbustergaming976 my comment somehow disappeared but i got my phone last week and the cashier gave me a free gaming kit and she mentioned its only available in pre order she just gave it to me for free i think it depends on the physical store you're buying it from honestly
im curious, whats the magnetic pad for the f6 made of?. And i think why the Dimensity performed better than the Snapdragon is probably due to optimization since the Dimensity came out like 2 years ago, in comparison the Snapdragon came out this year, but thats just my theory, so maybe in the long term the 8s gen 3 would be better. But i cant argue about the fluctuating fps, but then again the optimization problem.
It's not OS problem even my realme gt 6 shits away more than Poco F6. Meanwhile Realme Gt 6T works better as I compare mine with classmates. It hurts! I'm sure 8s gen 3 is little faulty.
This optimization from experienced person is sucks Because I also have the f6 and it can run 4x or even 6x graphics in ps2 games emulation on aethersx2 and it doesn't heat at all And I also have a Nintendo switch emulator and it's not optimized very well for the f6 but Man I can run any game on 1x graphics which is insane for a smart phone And I don't have any problems with emulators or any other games So this game optimization is sucks Basically
This is very interesting. It shows us that chipset is not everything but optimization from the brand itself is. I would like to see another another SD 8s gen3 device test using the same method. Perhaps Realme GT6?
Yeah, honestly that’s the point I wanted to show on this video but a ton disagree apparently 😂 And you bet I’ll do another follow up if I had the chance to test the GT6, but I unfortunately I don’t have it now so we’ll have to see
Well hardware and software go hand to hand. I always say this "putting an f1 engine onto a maruti 800 and expect to run the same is BS". But this is the price you pay for getting a cheaper gaming phone I guess
Yes, SD 8s Gen 3 is more powerful chipset in comparison to Dimensity 8200 Ultimate. But the amount of optimisation on Infinix GT 20 Pro is amazing, been using the phone for 1 month so far, best choice I've ever made(I did considering to get between F6 and GT20). The Dual chips works so well maintaining the framerate from dropping even when the phone is a little overheat(after playing for few hours straight). Most of people that complaining about the overheat unaware of that they put everything on MAX setting but expect the phone to maintain the normal temperature, which I find ridiculous. It also come with Bypass Charging(My favorite feature for this phone) which is super useful when I'm plugged to play long hours of gaming. The Bypass Charging also made your phone stay cool when plugged. The only one bad thing that I noticed during playing(Mobile Legends) with Data+Wifi features, gameplay somewhat delayed until I turned off the dual connection features. Overall it's a solid budget gaming phone that none can beat at its current price so far.
the infinix is more optimized for gaming but the f6 more for general use and camera , also pretty sure the 8sgen3 is kinda unoptimized for gaming, compared to the 7+gen 2 of last year poco f5 (what im using btw) i get like 63fps on lowest graphics on wuwa but ( lowest all graphical settings but 60fps also change shadow to lowest) basically it looks like max graphics but for less phone stress
@@elinamanansi5508 probably, I think just buying the civi 4 with the same chip is better in the camera department but the price of that is a bit higher
mediatek is pushing performance and perfecting it better than snapdragon nowadays with x6 pro and f5 in my hands it is dumb to see x6 pro being a better performer despite not having much different but even more dumber is that x6 pro doesn't have 2.4 + 5ghz wifi booster
As an "uninstalled joyose" enjoyer it's sad to see that F6 losing in performance in this test. You should test it on Honkai: Star Rail where joyose doesn't limit the chipset. With uninstalled joyose I'm getting above 50fps average in Wuthering Waves edit: What i mean about HSR, with joyose or without joyose HSR performs the same way, at least in my own free tests
you should have tried a different game that is more optimized on both phone not a latest new game that most games are having a hard time giving a good fps even a good chip will totally lag if they dont optimiize the game on it.
@@solo451 this just shows how the phone produce their max performance. Showing an optimized old game will not be called a stress test because any phone can process those old games.
Yeah basically the point is to push the phone as hard as I can and currently WuWa is one of those, if you've seen my previous gaming tests I have tested genshin and both phones do run them quite well already
You're not gonna regret it, I owned Poco F3. In paper Dimensity 8200U slightly better than SD870 but in reality Dimensity smash my Poco F3 performance during gaming. Infinix GT 20 Pro is a great choice.
During fights? Same setting and with cooler too? Also how do you monitor fps? I've reviewed the GT Neo 3 myself and know very well how hot it could be, so how's the temp in comparison? Can it sustain that preformance for long?
i usually buy 2 very capable and well spec xiaomi 2 years apart thinking about buying f6 and 14t this year but since i already have f5 and x6 pro from 2023 ill skip and will get f7 and 15t next year
@@asepp-xu6tn okay I think it's time to explain what issue were talking specifically, because maybe I just didn't think of it as an issue, and I use this phone daily too so it's not like I game test it once and that's it
Get the Infinix GT 20 Pro for optimized gaming. Get the Poco F6 if you want buggy unoptimized phone (Xiaomi is bad on optimizing both Mediatek and Snapdragon)
xiaomi's biggest problem is, MIUI & HyperOS which are very wasteful of RAM usage, I hope they just get rid of the unstable OS so that performance can improve. Stock android is the best for gaming performance, so I think infinix is now the king of cheap and high performance devices.
I play wuwa on max settings with my f6. The phone just got optimized on 1.3 update of the game. You can check my videos in there. I got 50-60 fps or even higher.
Maybe if you test other phones with chipsets identical to the POCO X6 Pro/F6 to see if it is a problem of optimization by Xiaomi with HyperOS for now (the GT 20 Pro can not be asked to do more, we must start demanding other things from Infinix, regarding the cameras for example), because removing the variables the Snapdragon is not delivering its full potential, the difference should be a little more palpable and in favor of F6 That also says a lot about the optimization work Infinix has done with the GT 20 Pro, which has to be acknowledged, thanks for the video anyway By the way, I didn't catch which version of the Zero 40 you are reviewing. Is it the 5G version? 6:05 It's the 5G version LoL! 😂
Bang coba bandingin Poco F6 sama Smartphone dengan chipset yang sama kalau bisa takutnya ini WuWa gak terlalu Optimize di Snapdragon soalnya sebelum launching WW di Bulan Mei kemarin Kuro Games (Developer WuWa) kerjasama sama MediaTek secara khusus buat Optimize gamenya disemua series chipset mereka terus kemarin WuWa baru aja nambah kerjasama sama Apple buat Optimize gamenya di Bionic/iOS tapi sampai sekarang belum ada kabar WuWa kerjasama sama Qualcomm buat Optimize gamenya di Snapdragon series 😂
It should be, that's why I kept on making follow up videos to confirm but kept on getting the same conclusion, which is consistent to my daily experience as well
Poco fans out there be ready for upcoming years when updates rolling out. They would limit the chips potential for you to realize phones is dying specially in power hungry games in the future. So you can BUY their upcoming poco F7-F100...cheaply. Dont forget Poco milks users heavily by those built in ads and bloatwares
It's not covered haha I used two separate boxes just enough to hold the phones but there's still plenty of space As you can see in the temp readings too these phones are cooled very well, I usually take 40deg as a baseline for a warm phone
Nah mate, the data didn't make sense. I compared my Poco F6 with S23 Ultra and S23 Ultra came out hotter and spiking everywhere in most games like uncapped Warzone mobile and 60fps Wreckfest. If anything with very new chip and just one Qualcomm driver iteration this might boil down to optimizations in specific games, which often than not changes over time.
BTW I think we should do a pixel count for render resolution because both phones have different display resolution, which POCO F6 needs 25% more pixels to render.
It just looks like xiaomis gaming thermal isnt activated for wuwa like it is for genshin. Agree with the pixel count though, its easy to calculate and might be different.
Xiaomi phones work better in games without game booster, is trash since it exists for example on my old phones Xiaomi Redmi note 5 and Xiaomi Mi 10T if i turn it on ill have less FPS,more heat, and a small touch delay, and on my actual phone the Poco F6 the game booster is almost the same but with more bugs, atleast on the EU ROM version of HyperOS,other than that the phone is nice,no problems like the people who write on Reddit
If u want more performance, activate final mode from security in battery settings, also for those who still have Xiaomi devices with MIUI dont use final mode u will get only heat and no performace, only on HyperOS i see the final mod being actually an performance booster
From what i've noticed, WuWa been more smooth for me when i play on my redmi note 9s 😂 i can run at 45fps without stutter during camera panning or eunning around in Overworld with Bloom and Anti Aliasing on. Other settings on low, with resolution at medium.
Still rocking my poco f3, for me Snapdragon will always win the day due to their robust support from qualcomm that will always release latest open source android driver to accompanying each their of their soc. As a person that follows mod scene for phone, snapdragon phone will always guaranteed get support from community with latest CustomROM way further their lifetime. Even my phone before poco F3, which is Redmi Note 3 Pro with snapdragon 650 from 2016, still usable up to android 11 version custom ROM (from its original android 5 support from xiaomi) and security patch from middle of this year. Meanwhile other soc like dimensity already stop being made custom ROM from the community after 2 android version top because mediatek never released their open source driver like Qualcomm did.
I think Infinix is paying this person some money. 😁😁🙂🙂😉😉 I have been using this phone for a while and the quality of the device is bad 😢😢 so Poco is better for long term use without hang ups or problems.👍
I would love to get money but definitely not to tell lies 😂 so as you can see from the recording yourselves, these are in line with my daily experience
Yeah I'm with you mate, mainly because I can play switch games without any issue with Snapdragon chipset, and probably because it's super hard to get CPU temperature to 50°C no matter what, it dissipates them very quickly

I also would love to see that but for my experience i like thw graphics and game play in gt20pro than f6 which can't or doesn't have a graphic enhancement and some staters in a long use
