One cord single stack firewood storage/drying rack 

Here's one method of using standard dimensional lumber with minimal waste to construct a full cord wood drying/storage rack.

Items you'll need:
Treated lumber:
2x4x8' - 7 ea
2x4x16' - 2 ea
Non-treated lumber
2x4x8' - 4 ea
2x4x16" - 6 ea
Ground anchors - recommend 3" helix x 36" long but depends on the type of ground you have. Use Vortex anchors for gravel. 2ea
Ratchet straps or similar - 2 ea
Sheet metal roofing 5-6 pieces @ 36" wide x 36-42" long
Sheet metal screws - 24 ea
Wood screws - large box. Not sure exactly how many you need but you'll find a use for them :)
Steel gate brackets - 2 ea
When adding on to an existing rack you can eliminate two of the 8' pressure treated 2x4s, one strap, one ground anchor, and two non-treated 2x4s.
