@@thickypiggy3611 It is very difficult to be vegan in Turkey and it is expensive like everything else. For example, I love milk very much and I use it in everything. Vegetable milks are 5 times the price of animal milks
@@lashin186 Yes prices in Turkey skyrocketed. But you don't need meat, milk or cheese supplements to become vegan. Btw you can make ur own vegan milk by using "su" and "yulaf". Plant foods are still cheaper than meat and dairy in Turkey.
I‘m very very proud of this video because you really did represent the Turkish cuisine perfectly. Thank you for putting so much effort into this video and showing the world how amazing Turkish food is. We Turks are really proud of our cuisine and never felt like we got enough praise for it so I‘m really grateful for this video and your effort!
Really amazing to not only see your developments in cooking, but also in your English speaking!! You are getting more confident in what you're doing and in front of the camera. You're getting better and better over time and I'm really happy to see that
So nice to see Turkish recipes veganized. Since I grew up with the Turkish cuisine I alway come back to food my mom used to make. You have to try so many other dishes like "Imam bayildi", "mercimekli köfte", "patatesli köfte" and kuru fasulye :)
There are tons of Turkish dishes which are completely vegan, you should try them as well, you wouldn’t even need to change them! Artichokes, any olive oil dish, “meze”s, lentil koftas, piyaz, wrapped vine leaf with olive oil, imambayildi, etc. World knows Turkish cuisine with kebabs but there are many many veggy options, wish everyone would knew 🥰
oww maya you are so talented, my favorite breakfast at menemen and I can’t eating menemen without onion :) You can trying lentil meat (mercimek koftesi). It’s a delicious and so tasty 😋
These are really cool, you should check out Refika's channel shes a Turkish chef and has an international channel as well. All her recipes are amazing. Lots of love from Turkey
you‘re giving out so much positivity with your cooking videos also I am so happy that there are many turkish vegan foods I never realized that thank you for this video!!✨
This was super fun video. Really liked the dishes and would try some of them. I would really like you to try vegan Indian cuisine. I know most of the dishes involve butter or dairy, but most of them are very easy to veganize. Vegetarian dishes in India can be veganized pretty easily. Also, Ethiopian cuisine has a lot of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Would really love to see you try them.
That is awesome to see you cooking Turkish dishes and veganizing them! I love it!!! Please cook more Turkish food and make videos about it!! 💜💕🌻 love from Turkey ☺️
"the amount of butter that would make Grandma happy" is officially the only measure of butter I will be accepting and using from this point onwards - thank you 🤣
Tereyağı yerine ne kullanıyorlar acaba. Ceviz yagimi, findik yagi mi, citlenbik yagi mi? Susam da olabilir hem daha hesapli olur muhtemelen? Merak ettim simdi😅. Nefis olmustur tahminim😊.
@@gizemcorbaoglu1819 Ah, ben kucukken karadenizli bir komşu teyzemiz vardı, baklavasini ceviz yerine fındıklı yapardı memleketten getirtip, nefis olurdu baklavasi. O zaman denk gelirsem deneyeyim 👍. Sağolun.
I loved growing up in Germany. I used to go to this small hole in the wall Turkish bar to buy a gyro on my way home from work. Never any woman in their. I always felt that I didn't belong. The minute I opened the door everybody quit talking. I ordered and left. The minute the door closed they started talking again.
Wäre cool wenn du mal rumänisch ausprobierst, also zum Beispiel Mămăligă oder Sarmale (die sind unglaublich gut) oder schwäbisch kochst, ich bin noch auf der Suche nach einem veganen Spätzle-Rezept.
Hi Maya 🥰 it's a good idea to present vegan versions of recipes from different countries ☺ 😋 try to make tunisian recipes from my country tunisia 🇹🇳you can make couscous with vegetables, salad with grilled pepper, tomatoes, onion and garlic, edamame soup, brik, kofta with dill....🤗 Ines from Tunisia 🇹🇳
This was really good. One small correction: dates don't grow in Turkey, and the date-nut sandwich you prepared usually comes in dried apricot-nuts form. Keep up the good work!
There's a similar turkish dish like çiğ köfte and it's called "mercimek köfte" it's made from red lentils and I love it so much more! Whenever I'm invited to a party or something I'll bring mercimek köfte and even non vegans enjoy it very much! Highly recommend👍❤🌱
