0:27 even when I don’t agree with one of your opinions, you always do such a good job of justifying them that it sometimes makes me question or even change my own opinion, your reasoning always just makes so much sense
16:52 so what’s funny is, this actually happened. A player named honor, verified sakupen circles 66p and then when he attempted the spam and first wave, he gave up almost instantly
As a forsaken neon victor, I can say that the level is a massive nothing-burger with disproportionately hard choke points. I hate it. Bloodbath in all its hellish difficulty is better, and I actually enjoy it. Haven't gotten past 63 yet though
Your videos really remind me of Rivercivers GD videos, where he would just state his opinion of things, even if the majority of the community disagreed. I think that type of video is super rare nowadays. Keep up the work, I respect it! ❤
honestly, influence should absolutely be a big factor in rankings like this, especially for cookiecutter extremes. (which you did factor in for, which was nice to see) but imagine playing IWannaBeTheGuy and being sad that it isnt themed around like the actual game.
no thats based actually. the actual iwbtg is a really neat game that takes a ton of skill and memorization, the perfect candidate for a platformer demon. meanwhile the level is just "yeah lets throw a bunch of hard jumps and call it a day." no silly retro game references, no funny nonsensical traps, nothing. this is one of the few cases where i think being completely and utterly unpredictable would be great for the level
@@TsukiStuffsthis entire gameplay style isnt a reference to i wanna be the guy, but to the infinite amount of fangames that it has which use the exact gameplay style the gd level uses. All those fangames tend to use the "i wanna be the __" naming formula which is where that thing is from. Some of the parts in these levels which have you avoid moving obstacles with a ship/ufo are also an idea taken from those fangames. But yeah, the troll aspect of iwbtg would be cool to see in a level
"its a memory section disguised as a bossfight" are bossfights not inherently memory sections? unless its one of those that mix in wkth the normal gameplay every bossfight requires you to memorize it, thats how bossfights work. ive never liked bossfights which is why i havent beat sirius until like 1-2 years ago but once you memorize it its pretty simple
@@NothingIsScary I just personally don't like bossfights in general it just kinda feels like memory gameplay without the cool factor and they don't even make for fun gameplay
I mean at least the decoration for the boss fight in Sirius was cool for its time. You didn't see many boss fights in 2.0 that weren't just moving deadlocked monsters
Sirius is the first level with a boss fight, this was huge back then and this is where it gained its popularity. Yea the boss is bad but no one did boss fights before
I don't think Cherry Blossom is that bad decoration-wise but I agree with the thing you said about "why would they put that random restriction" and "if cherry team made an easy demon for everybody to enjoy, that would be cool."
Is Megalovania by Airswipe a hated level? It's one of my favourites and I often use it as a warmup for harder levels. And just to preface it, i HATE memory levels. But this one flows so wonderfully. The attack pattern is so simple, it's hard to forget. its literally up and down alternating.
The extreme demon picks are pretty based, I’d pick something like Sonic Wave Rebirth as most hated hard extreme because it’s just a redeco of another level. The point you brought up for Sakupen Circles is why I also hate the verified version of Silent Clubstep
nerfed silent clubstep came out before any serious verfication attempt though. whats more, it was done by the original creator himself, with the help of a few other ppl, and most if not all changes were done to bring the level closer to what was originally intended (namely fixing it on 60fps)
I was picking medium demons to beat (after I beat my first one, kiln) and I looked at -Sirius- and thought, "wow, this looks fun" and then got to the bossfight and immediately exited the practice run and started playing B instead.
my only issue with sakupen hell is that 6% double blue orb and maybe the wave transitions could be more smooth. As for a hard one, you definitely haven't seen ML80 and naranja azul rosa or whatever those abominations are called
Easy Demon: Hazardous Sanctuary Before 2.2 it was a very buggy 2.0 level in addition to being unbalanced, now its just a subpar 2.0 level but still with terrible balancing (and probably still slightly buggy knowing how bad this level was for an easy demon to begin with) Medium Demon: Satin Honorable Mention: Labnity Just my go-to example of a glow level with absolutely zero playtesting and made for the sole purpose of getting rated based off its decoration. Its riddled with bugs and inconsistencies and has one click thats straight up RNG with like a 1/10 pass rate if not worse. It mercifully has a secret way that skips the last 20% but that doesn't help much when everything before it just sucks Hard demon: Elemental Melons Honorable mentions: Artemisia, Popcorn, Ginseng This level is the only hard demon to take me over 1 day to beat, the block decoration in this level literally kills you unless you do precise movements and its ALL OVER THE PLACE, PLUS it had a genuinely broken dual section which made me have to RESTART MY FUCKING PC in order to render it possible on my PC. Insane Demon: Wander of Thought Honorable mention: Extreme chaos, Planet Circles, love baba My least favorite level I've ever completed. The base gameplay is fucking awful and held together by silly string, there are over half a dozen bugs in the level reducing it to RNG and I needed to pray to Lord almighty every attempt that I would pass all of them. It has blind timings including one at the last cube which just adds onto the stress youll feel playing this shit, it has the most awkward transitions and duals known to mankind, and even balancing issues, its just a miserable shitfest left right and center. Extreme Demon: Sakupen Hell As much as I like this level for its intimidating aura I still have to admit that its absolutely grueling to play and is a level I consider to be my hardest even if Ive beaten two levels harder than it according to popular opinion. The awkward gameplay and atrocious balancing this level is infamous for speaks for itself
Finally, someone talked about the fact that IWBTG has had a terrible influence on the platformer scene. I swear this is like the slaughterhouse tred again
About Sirius: I had conflicting feelings about -Sirius-, I like it but at the same time my brain just didn't want to work during the boss fight, especially the robot. Like you said about raw memory, yeah, someone like Merg had a HUGE advantage of that. About Sakupen Hell: Didn't Noobas delete the level himself to bury the dark past rather than RobTop? (At least that's what SEA said.)
Reminds me of that one scene in Gravity Falls. "Well, time to round up the mob. *lights torch*" Glad you mentioned nothing about Tidal Wave. Even tho the debate is technically over, some people still are pissed about the rate.
While I don't agree with basically anything here, I still think it's a good video. Thanks for sharing your views even though you knew people were gonna disagree, takes some courage man! ❤
The easy demon one doesn't look that bad, it's looks decent enough imo Also I kinda agree with Sirius, I did a practice run of it recently for the first time and some of the boss attacks are annoying
I think recently CherryTeam has been good at making non-extremes like Crash Game and Neur Absence (both easy insane demons that have very high enjoyments), but I do have to agree Cherry Blossom is awful. If you would like a hard demon I can almost guarantee you’ll hate, "Flow" is literally Ship but longer and a tier 14 :) Nice video btw
Imo, the "good" bossfights are in platformer mode. Stuff like "tombstone Project" (insane demon) and "boss rush" (not yet released) are so cool and fun. They're also pretty predictable!
i remember years ago when i was a new gd player and the only famous level i knew was prolly like bloodbath or retray but anyways yeah i heard about -Sirius- and i found a level of its bossfight that i copied and added warnings too because i hated it so much (and i also hate the stupid hyphens) also W cube icon
One thing I will say in defence of Sakupen Hell The hitboxes really aren't that bad Sure, there's a few random bushes that stick out but you can easily learn where to go upper or lower within the corridors and the resultant gaps are still a lot more lenient than 15-18 I've experienced a lot more pain on other maps
I either understand or totally agree with most of these, but The Moon Below is such a cool and unique level. It’s one of the levels I always think of when I think of “cool as fuck” levels. The atmosphere is excellent, the anticipation of the dash orb release is crazy (not to mention funny as hell), etc. My favorite extreme demon is Congregation, and I love The Moon Below for similar reasons (gameplay, atmosphere, decoration, song). But yeah, all my homies hate shitkupen hell and shitkupen circles.
i feel sorta compelled to comment since from what i've seen it seems to be an extremely rare opinion to dislike sirius but i've also never liked it ever since it came out, and even put off beating it for a while, during which i think some people were calling it not only the best level ever created but also one of the easiest demons in the game, if i remember correctly. which i just couldn't understand for the reasons you brought up; the boss has essentially no telegraphing so you just have to memorize where to be and when for the whole boss. i feel justified hearing someone else also complain about it lol. now contrast how i feel about that to how i feel about the moon below, which currently sits at the top of my list for my most favorite extreme demons that i've beaten. i don't think it's really fair to rank it the lowest purely because of the long dash orb, mostly i just found it funny, but also think it adds to its uniqueness since literally no other level would even think of doing something like that (probably for good reason), but i think it works in this case, considering tmb's quiet and subdued atmosphere which is already highly uncommon in gd levels. the level itself in my experience is extremely fun, although a lot of that probably comes down to how lucky you get with the second half of the ship. i only died there once, though the verifier and one of my friends who has also beaten it didn't get as lucky as i did and ended up probably having a much worse experience.
Damn I gotta respect the courage to put out the Sirius Bossfight equivalent of Opinion quality out here man. It takes bravery for sure. I already knew we were in for a stinker after getting the two clarifications that the opinions are gonna be bad and, yeah bro definitely delivered on that hard. Overall theres not much to say about the video. Sirius Bossfight has valid criticisms, Cherry doesn't at all. But its all good. IWBTG complaints weren't valid or logical for the most part, which I get since this entire vid isnt made with logic but emotionality and irrationality in mind. And Forsaken Neon and Sakupen Hell were understandable tbh. Sakupen Circles criticism was fine. And other than the video being low quality ragebait there wasn't really much else to say. Typical. Nothing crazy or special, which wasn't tbe original intention anyways. Overall good work. 👍
100% agreed with forsaken neon, i tried it as a new hardest, the worst part are the transitions, in fact i died right at the beginning of the last ball, and the cube at 50 is verh very inconsistent
Man, I thought I was alone in hating -sirius-, I got 50% on it 2 years ago and never bothered to finish it as levels like Marathon and Killbot do memory far better and I actually have a decent time playing those.
to be fair, diamond verified old sc with pause buffering, but silent clubstep was put on the list anyways so theres a chance it can get verified without pause buffering
i didn't agree more with any videos like that than this, holy especially with IWBTG and sakupen circles, i really hope that someone verifies unnerfed sc and updates the rated version to unnerfed state. that would be the biggest hype in gd since the verification of bloodlust, the original impossible level is placed in list as verified. and the same with silent clubstep.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m fairly sure there is a CPS limit on the demon list, so USKC wouldn’t get rated anyways. Maybe the CPS thing is just challenge list though idk
easy and medium demon take was respectable idk about hard and extreme demon but iwbtg is perfectly fine especially considering it was made on like the first 2 days of release
I can honestly see why someone wouldn't like IWBTG, but I personally like it. It has very straightforward, no gimmick nonsense difficulty. I would honestly rather have every top 1 based off of it than something like chromaside.
My favorite difficulty in the game is the hard demon. I have played and beaten some hard demons that became my all time favorites. Yesterday, while looking what hard demon to beat next, since i dont have that many beaten, i approached Darkness Keeper. The most miserable "hard" demon ive ever played.
Idc if its funny but The worst easy demon I ever played was trump circles, it sucks, has inconsistent gameplay and i played for 2 hours and every time i got to the drop I died immediatly to the transition.
No matter what opinion you have it will never be as bad as my least favourite Easy Demon being TOE2 because my experience beating it was absolutely miserable and made me hate the level and UFO gameplay in general.
The spam in Sakupen circles is horrible and I’m so glad they took it out. It’s practically luck based, it’s damn near, if not just straight up impossible to get consistent at. I don’t think compromising the enjoyability of a level for difficulty is a good idea whatsoever.
bro i was looking at the gddl to see how people rated laser room you rated it a tier 8 bro 😂 i found it a tier 2 such different opinion (like no offence, sorry if you found anything bad if youre reading this)
Just gonna say, afaik Sakupen Hell is nerfed too, yet it was still rated as is, so yeah. The unnerfed was only just beaten last year if I remember correctly and funnily enough, it was also due to a spam. The reason why Sakupen Circles was verified in this state is because it was just unimaginable at the time to actually beat the unnerfed, even if people made progress on the infamous spam. If the Sakupen Circles remake was made today, it would probably keep the spam and buff some sections even more compared to the original, now that a verification of the unnerfed is far more realistic. Just my thought on it.
The sirus pains me he says normal level with a memory part in the middle randomly thats just deadlocked in a nutshell and you probably like but youd say "ita a demon its supposed to be hard " so is sirus
I absolutely agree with you about Sakupen Circles. For Silent Circles or Sakupen Circles V2, nerfing it makes sense because those levels are physically impossible. Sakupen Circles can be verified someday, and this level, even though it looks awesome, just feels like them milking the original to get a new top 1 instead of actually caring about the level and its history. Sad.
Your opinions are your opinions, if I don't agree with them, that's fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinions even if people try to push you to disagree with your own opinions, and I respect you for sharing/expressing your opinions like this.
foresaken neon in my opinion is a good level the only part that made it annoying is the blindish jump and that entire cube part, everything else is fun af to me.
