One Direction's Harry Styles and Niall Horan talk to Newstalk ZB's Paul Holmes about the journey so far, their success, their fans, the girls, and performing. Paul Holmes Friday 20 April 2012 www.newstalkzb.co.nz (C) Newstalk ZB
Nothing about celebrity crushes, favourite dates, first love, etc, questions that are repeated over and over again in all interviews. I like this one - straightforward and true. BEST INTERVIEW EVER!
Harry shakes his head No @ Louis. Louis makes noises. Harry smiles, Niall says "Noooo Louis" and Int. asks Harry to tell Louis to stop. Harry tells Louis to give the man a break. The whole thing is BRILLIANT.
this is over a year old but yeah this man is amazing! He sadly left his job to retire I think 3 years ago now but ahahaha he made my childhood so worthwhile :) Such a lovely guy
Harry and Tommo When the question of longevity came up you could see the concerned look on Niall's face. If only he knew that 6 years after that interview he and the boys are still smashing it worldwide, and their solo careers are going amazingly well. Sadly, I heard that Mr. Holmes has since passed away.
How about 2021? Literally so close to 9 years... it’s so bittersweet it’s insane. I’m unbelievably proud of them but it’s sad seeing them so young too 🥲
This has got to be the best interview I've seen w the guys. The interviewer is so respectful and asks relevant questions and stuff that Harry and Niall were super comfortable with. It almost sounded like they were having a chat w an uncle or something. They had a lot of respect for him as well. You could tell the guys enjoyed this one. Like a breath of fresh air after 20 other interviews. Nothing abt first loves or crushes or the trashy cliche questions that every interviewer asks. I loved that he asked questions that remind everyone that the guys are human. They are also ppl. As Niall once said, they are just normal ppl with abnormal jobs. I actually have lot of respect for this interviewer now, but I'm sad to hear that he passed. Much love to the boys 💙❤️💚💛🇮🇪
Sadly this interviewer, Paul Holmes, passed away from cancer a couple of years after this. One of my favourite of his interviews. These boys are so humble.
god they’re such babies 😍💕 it’s amazing how much time has passed since this and how much they have changed!! But regardless of whether it’s 2012 or 2019, these boys manage to be polite and humble - true inspirations for people everywhere
I love how they can just say how they really feel and say how they really are. They don''t act fake, they act themselves. I think that's one of the most important thing for a band! If you don't be yourself then your music becomes fake. That's what makes a band fall apart. They've done a wonderful job with everything! They won't ever disappoint true directioners!
