I was going to comment just that. You can see Andrew’s background in education shine thru because as an educator, you want to build confidence in your students regardless the subject and you really want to highlight their interests. As a new parent, I love this and I really applaud Andrew’s desire to do what may seem a small accommodation but will have a long standing affect on those kids and even those parents.

I'm running the garde (CRE)/tink variation. I feel it has enough draw ability to not worry about Iono too much. Also throwing in 2 reversal energies helps when in a pinch. I save those for the non ex tink for some nice damage. The reversal energy also works well for Garde (CRE) since it will count as 3-psych energies if you have more prize cards remaining. Pair that with 2 more psych energies snagged from a fog crystal and youre good for 210 damage. I've seen a 62% win rate with this build, but this is a nice alternative.

I would like to add that the draw abilities in this build rely on refinement, shining arcana, gather materials, worker (stadium bump + draw), and 4 copies of Colress's experiment.

I also feel this build would run well with either 2 copies of arven or 2 copies of Irida if you're running the milotic line. Snag those rare candies and feebas or milotic when in a pinch (or battle VIP if you go second). You could even take out 2 tinkatuffs and replace with Lumineon V for the supporter search. Sorry for the spamming. Just tossing in my 2 cents.

The wording on Milotic's Dew Guard is very strange, "Prevent all effects from supporters done to YOU or your hand"? It makes it sound like it's protecting you from like those old Imakuni cards that force you to whisper, sing, or yell your attacks. I have no idea what else it's referring to by "you" instead of "your Pokemon", maybe it means your opponent can't try to paper cut you with their supporters.

I love Tinkaton! I tried this deck. I think it's weakness is not enough energies and nothing contributes to bringing energies to your hand. My Tinkaton made it to 620 damage but it was by the end of the game where my opponent had 5 prize cards (took so long to get Tinkaton set up then had no switch card in my hand to switch when I did). My deck was nearly gone too so by the time I had time to use the damage I'd lose regardless from not having anymore cards to draw. Of course a perfect hand and this deck is insane but like a lot of the Charizard EX decks if you fail to have exactly what you need when you need it it fails. Still fun to play but I think I might adjust the amount of trainers for some psychic energies/energy retrievals.

as someone who's been building my own Tinkaton ex deck since before the card was even out in English, i'm really excited to see you take a look at Tinkaton ex! btw i really love how no-nonsense this deck is. i've seen Tinkaton ex decks running Kirlia, Gardevoir, Rotom V, etc and like... man it's just really not my thing lmao. (i similarly built my deck with only Tinkaton, Milotic, and Radiant Jirachi; though i also use Mysterious Tail Mew to get VIP Passes and Rare Candies on early game)

Where in the settings do you have it so the field animation goes back to default when a pokemon is moved from active? I see some people where the field stays with what ever type is last brought in, but yours goes back to defalt.

It is a fun deck but it can be disrupted so easily... and only 4 energies give me huge troubles, especially when you have 1 or even 2 prizes (as it happened to me recently).

I don't think you do. considering you're going to only be attacking with a maximum of 3 tinkaton ex per game, you don't really need more than four. could be good to play one copy of rosanne's backup though just in case you need an extra one which would also let you recover a path
